Hello PET TALK peoples! I'm Kate(r). I'm curious to know if Havana's are a very rare breed of cat in the U.S.? I have the book LEGACY OF THE CAT with all the great photos taken by Mr. Tetsu Yamazaki (if you haven't seen this book I totally suggest you borrow it from a library or something!) and saw this lovely breed. I'm just curious to know if anyone here owns one or knows of a breeder or has a friend who owns one......
That is all

Sorry, Don't know any Breeders, but Try Breed List (http://www.breedlist.com). They have lots of breeders listed.

A friend of mine has two Havana Browns. They are strange looking things but very friendly and playful, even now they are about 14 years old.

There are a few breeders here in the UK, but I don't expect that's much use to you

If you have Google search engine, you can type in Havana Brown cats and come up with several sites devoted to this breed. Yes, they are rare and very expensive.
