Drew, my betta, looks very healthy. I do regular water changes, use water conditioner, and I use fresh water salt in his tank. He eats and swims, but a lot of the time he is pretty inactive. His breathing also seems normal. A lot of the time he's in his little plastic rock just hanging out. Once in a while his inactivity scares me so I tap the tank a bit and he's swims just fine. He's always been this way and he's been here for about a year. Maybe he just sleeps a lot? I thought it was normal, but after reading a few posts I started to second guess my thoughts. Is Drew ok?

Frankie the Fish, my betta goes through stages like that too. Sometimes he just hangs low at the bottom of his tank near his rock, sometimes at the top near one of the plants. Sometimes for weeks at a time that is where he stays most of the time. Other times he's pretty active.
I'd say it's normal, yours is just a touch lazier than some of the others. ;)
