My Grandma Just Passed Away...

For the past few months my Grandma has been fighting cancer. She had surgery and they were able to remove only 20% of the cancer but she seemed to be doing fairly well after. About a week ago she took a turn for the worse, she wasn't able to get out of bed and wasn't eating. Our whole family was going to have a big get together on boxing day and all be there for her but with her going downhill so fast we started to realize she probably wouldn't make it until Christmas.

I along with most of the family spent the day by her side on Saturday. Everyone has been there for her constantly with her for the past week. I was going to be over there today but got called to work and had to go... and because of it I wasn't able to say good-bye. My Mom just got the call a few moments ago, saying she passed.

I was never super close to my Grandma, more so my other Grandma. I feel really bad that I was never very close to her and will always regret it. I miss her so... but am so glad she's no longer suffering. It was so hard to see her in so much pain on Saturday... :(

I know I have several PM's to answer and I will answer them when I get a chance. Our family has a lot going on right now... so I may not be on too much during the next while.

Please keep us in your thoughts, this is a huge loss for us... :( Rest in peace Grandma Dot! (1920-2005)

I'm so sorry to hear this! I am going through the exact same thing here, my Grandmother has cancer, last week she fell at her house, and the Doctors say she can't go back home. She is currently in the hospital fighting Pheumonia (sp?) and getting radiation, she's 92.. If you need someone to talk to, feel free to PM me.
