My good camera is doing weird things. I bought some false eyelashes for the party last nite and was playing around with them before I left for a family dinner - I cut them down and just put them on the outer corners - didn't end of wearing them - too dramatic for family thing.
Then at the dinner I took a pic and it froze - it wouldn't "advance" after taking the pic and wouldn't shut off - I had to turn it off by removing the batteries. I changed the batteries after getting the green pics -
thought the pics were interesting tho... ;)
I didn't retouch these at all - what you see is what I got! The way my eyes show up violet is the way that was on the lcd panel. I am wearing a red sweatshirt that shows up bright green!
If I continue to have issues with it I am calling Fuji and sending it to them I haven't even had it a year yet.

Could or did the Camera get a "thermal shock"?

Example:
Folks that wear glasses out in the cold ...
then come into a warm house ...
The glasses usually do an instant FOG-over as the warm, moist air
in the house condenses on the cold surface of the glass lenses. http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/frown.gif

Simlar things can happen inside cameras - IF the camera gets "cold enough"
and then is brought into a warm environment.

Warm the camera up for several hours - give any moisture trapped inside the camera
time to evaporate - then try it again.

IF you have to send the camera out for repairs -
the chances of getting it back in time for Christmas is pretty slim. http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/frown.gif

Good Luck! http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/wink.gif

Oh yeah that is VERY possible, it happened to me before. Mine didn't freeze and shut off but the pictures all came out very blurry from the condensation.

The picture actually looks like a negative would have.....does anybody even remember what negatives are anymore? ;)

It could be that one of the settings got inadvertantly changed. Does it have the option to do manual settings? If so, it could be that you always had it on automatic setting and this somehow got changed. Or, I know some cameras come with settings that will change the pic as it's taken, like if you want sepia tones or something. Check to make sure you're on automatic settings and there are no "effects" added to the photos.

You could also check their troubleshooting guide. There's probably one in the manual you received with the camera, and there's probably a more extensive one online. Their online Help might also include the option to "talk" to tech support right online. I always prefer that option if it's available because you get immediate results.
