hi, i made a post earlier about my kitten having worms

i just found a pic on the net that look exactly like the worm. it crawled out of its bum hole.


here is the pic, what kind of worm is it? it is the exact same as my kittens

That is a tapeworm, caused by fleas. Sounds like you need to flea treat your kitty! ;)

I forgot to say..

It says on website that THE POT BELLY is caused by ROUND WORM

But the worm looks like a Tape Worm. But do tape worms cause POT BELLY?

Can someone give me a exact definition of POT BELLY?

I think its when the stomach is like a balloon rock, my kitten is like that

Yes. That is a tapeworm. They are fairly easy to treat!! First treat for fleas, and de-flea your house and all of your animals, and then treat for tapeworm! You can buy over the counter medications

Be careful of the flea treatment you put on your kitty. Hartz (did I spell that right?) has been know to kill cats. Some of the more experienced ones here can tell you what to use on a smaller cat/kitten. You have been resourceful enough to find that dreaded worm on the web so do some more research on treatment for the worms and the fleas. Do you homework and educate yourself. It is late and I am tired or I would help you find what you need...

Get a flea Treatment from your vet,like Revolution or Advantage,and an Ova Flea Collar,if he will wear one.
