Today marks 2 years since Chum first showed up here.

We were supposed to just be hiding him from an abusive owner. Short term, then he would go back to the shelter and get adopted. Except that the shelter thought he might be aggressive. Chum growls ALOT. Until you get to know him, it is easy to think he's being aggressive. Once you know him, you discover that he just has a vast vocbularly and likes to talk. Chum has a story for every occasion! We often have long chats while I am cooking. My hubby says I need to get some more human friends! :p

Chum is the most people orientated of all my dogs. He adores people and has never, ever had enough attention!

He's a long, lean running machine. He loves to stretch out and let his legs go!

Last spring his sled dog brain started to work and this year he's been even better. A friend of mine who runs a highly competitive team told me once that some of her best dogs took a long time to get serious about working dogs. Chum is turning into one of those dogs. It's even snowing today so hopefully he will be out on the trails again soon!
Happy Anniversary Chum. I'm so glad you stayed!
