We went to the Rosebud Pet and Pony expo last Sunday for a Flyball comp. The dogs ran quite well El's team came second after taking out first place in the highest division for the fast 4 or 5 comps . Clover's team did not place but Clover ran realy well, and fast at times aswell not bad for the old chook.

Elvis got his Flyball Master (FM) title on Sunday aswell ;).

Congrats Elvis!!! Thats great.

What great pics! I notice there's a 6 month old BC, Does he compete or is he still in training? What age should a dog be before they start flyball?

And I was wondering where do you get the flyball collars? (yes I should get off my lazy bum & search) lol

I'm furious at myself for not seeing you :(. Elvis is so fast and Clover was a joy to watch! I also loved a white dog - a bull terrier or pit bull cross??? Absolutely champing at the bit for a run!

Thanks everyone :D.

lv4dogs, the BC pup has not started any training yet as he is still too young, he knows how to fetch a tennis ball and to come running back to play tug and thats about it. Dogs realy need to be 12 months old, i would like the age to go up to 14 months though.

The harness's are an Autralian design, a lady in Canberra (Aus Capital Territory) makes them up, she measures the dogs and makes them to fit. Also the Aussie company BlackDog Wear makes them aswell and they ship out orders all over the world ;).

Nicole it is ok, we did not know. Next year maybe ;). Hehe Clover had a blast at Rosebud, a couple of her team mates messed up so she got to run all day instead of half a day. El was actualy running a bit slow he is off to the chiropractors tomorrow.

The big white dog would have been Jamaica (American Bulldog x), he is so funny to watch. I will find a photo of him.

Once again thanks everyone.

I thought they should be at least a year. The way they have to jump off the box puts a lot of pressure on their joints and they have to do it a certain way to help eliminate that if I remember correctly. I was expecting you to say 2 years of age as that how old they shuld be before you start training in agility.

I'll have to check out BlackDog Wear! Thanks for the info!
