I had a CD with the most beautiful versions of O Holy Night and the Carol of the Bells...they're my favorites. I like traditional, choir performed carols. And, for funny ones, I like the Chipmunks, All I want For Christmas. :)

My favorite christmas carol is Oh Holy Night because I sing tenor in the choir and I can reach that one high note! My other favorite carol is Silent Night when our choir sings it in German.

My other favorite carol is Silent Night when our choir sings it in German.

I love the German version!

I also love this lullaby kindof carol called All the Pretty Little Horses...and, we sang this song when I was in chorus class in high school...called Dona Nobis Pacim (I think that's how it's spelled)...we sang it at a Christmas program but I don't remember for sure if it was an actual carol...but, just in case it was, I wanted to say it was a favorite. ha ha.

So many, but I'll be Home for Christmas is the one I usually find myself singing the most during the holidays.

Humor wise, I absolutely love Merry Christmas from the Family by the Dixie Chicks.

Carol of the Bells. ♥♥♥ We sang it for our winter choir concert my senior year in HS and it was so amazing. It's not an easy song to sing, either. You have to enunciate VERY well and when you have 60 students singing together that can be quite hard. But we sounded SO AMAZING. :)

O Come O Come Emmanuel.

Ohhhhh, I love that one too!

Edit: Here's the words:

O come, O come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear.

Refrain

Rejoice! Rejoice!
Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free
Thine own from Satan’s tyranny;
From depths of hell Thy people save,
And give them victory over the grave.

Refrain

It's so pretty!

Xmas carols to keep gangs away

Dutch authorities are playing loud and annoying Christmas carols in public areas to keep teenage gangs off the streets.

Charlois Council in Rotterdam have started blasting out the Dutch children's carols from a barrel organ at the Zuidplein underground station.

It follows complaints from commuters about gangs hanging around at night.

A council spokesman said all the unruly teenagers had disappeared within a few minutes of the carols blaring out
