ok I am curious if anyone has one of these or has ever used one, I am thinking about getting one because of the 3 liter capicty as well as the circulation flow, as some of my dogs refuse to drink water that has been sitting for more then 5 minuts, its really annoying to have a dog waiting for you to flush the toilet and to throw their head in the second the flusher is pressed when their is perfectly good water right around the cornor  I just dont want to spend $30 on it if it does not work as advertised.

No, we don't own one of those. We actually have a regular old fountain that we set up in the house, it was supposed to go outside as decoration but the dogs enjoy drinking from it so it never made it out.

I have a small similar fountain that I use for my cats. They like it. It makes a horrid noise when the water gets too low and it's a bit of hassle keeping the pump clean, but the cats do like it and drink more with it.

That site is in pounds BTW, so the actual cost is double in Canadian dollars.

no, we don't have one but I have always thought it would be a good thing to have.
Canadian dollars are twice as much as pounds? Pounds are worth about twice as much as US dollars!

I don't have it but I have something similar: http://www.thecatconnection.com/page/TCC/PROD/BWL-DRNK/DRINKWELLBIGDOG

It works well for what it is supposed to do. With three large dogs, though, I'm still filling up the resevior at least once a day, usually more. With my three I have to clean it once a week or else it can get really nasty. My Labs are very messy, though. They always play out in the dirt and come in and get it all in the bowl. But, even so, I don't think I'll ever go back to just a regular bowl. This stays clean much longer. Even over the three months I had just Mandy I was changing her water bowl (a regular stainless steel bowl) at least twice a day. Now, with two more dogs, I only have to refill it once or twice day, which isn't much of a hassle. I'd much rather clean this once a week then change out the bowl several times a day.

One thing you have to remember is to not let it run dry or get low. It's really bad for the motor. With this particular fountain it starts spurting out water and it's kind of loud. Otherwise, if you keep the water bowl full, it's VERY quiet. It's the quietest one I've had.

Never heard of either of those. :o

i just have food and water containers that look like these thingies
http://www.theenvironmentalstore.com/images/products/Water_Containers_small.JPG

but of course my dogs containers are a lost smaller then that,, and the jugs are turned upside down,, and fill into a bowl things.. and as my dog eats or drinks,, after a certain levle of food or water my dog used up, the jug automaticly depsenes food or water out.

i do change his water whenever i remeber to though.

I don't have that, but I have one of those automatic water things, just with the jug upside down. We refill it probably every other day, but we do have to clean it at least every other week, or it gets gross in the bowl. I also love this: http://www.scatmat.com/Products/WaterDog/overview.asp
It turns on when your dog approaches. I'm sure it would take a bit of getting used to, though. Poor Boomer is already scared of the gurgling sounds of the automatic waterer.

lol I saw that waterdog thing, its neat. but would be completly usless at my house, as the spout that thing attaches to is not in my backyard, is on the side of the house nearing the front, around 15 feet outside the side gate lol
