Or know someone who does?

www.furminator.com

The photos and video are amazing.
It's expensive but my catnip magazine says that it is well worth the investment. All the brushes and combs I have bought probably equal to what this costs.
I found it on www.petedge.com for $35 and up. I also found it on ebay.

I think a medium would work for all 3 of mine. If I divide it 3 ways (per animal) its probably about $12 for each! ;)

or this place

hmm found an ebay listing for $43 with free shipping for the medium
might equal out to the same when you factor in shipping.

**note to self**
the blade needs replaced and is about $22 --- :o

I've seen it on QVC for $24.98, Staci. It looks like they only have one size though. Sure does look like something I could use ;)

Oh man with the name and the price I was expecting some Ionic "breath naturally" thing. Not some crappy brush. I think it's just another one of those scams. I've bought two similar "de-shed your pet" brushes and they are crap. My regular undercoat rake and slicker brush work just fine, thank you.

. Not some crappy brush.
ummm
gee thanks for calling it crappy -

If you actually read the site - it says that groomers do it to help their customers.
I don't know if the reason you are so rude is you don't like me or if its b/c you think you are funny ---- good grief.

I've never seen that before. Maybe one of the groomers here can help you with it. I'd love to find out more about it too.

I use and love the zoom groom (http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=25343743 02023689&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302026050&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441779169&bmUID=1132842792811&itemNo=1&Ntt=zoom+groom&In=All&previousText=zoom+groom&N=2) by kong. It works really well on all of my dogs, with the exception of Bitsy who I've never tried it on. I couldn't believe how much hair it got off of Nacey and Nova. I got one for my friend's border collie and it worked well on his hair type too. I also use it on my cats. The good think is it's only $7, and I know if you are unsatisfied with it PetSmart will refund you your money.

Um, that was in no way directed at you. At all. And I'm not trying to be rude. To me, it looks like any other brush and like I've said I've bought some of these brushes that are supposed to be so great. Maybe it's my dogs, but it doesn't work for them.

I'm not trying to be rude, again, and I hope you don't take it personally. :)

Have you tried a shedding blade on them yet? The shedding blade that I use pulls the hair off Tibby just like it does in that kitty demonstration video. I'm not sure how well they work on dogs though because Payson darts the second he sees the brush. Is there a place you could look up real reviews and not just the nice ones that the company usually provides? Because I think if it really works then it's worth the money.

I noticed that on the dog site you posted the product had one review and it's not a good one. However it's hard to judge off just one.

LOL yes I'm a little bored so I looked up some reviews. Overall it seems that more people are happy with it then those who don't like it.

I don't have one, but they are a hit with some other husky owners I know. If it can handle multiple huskies in full coat blow mode, it's a good thing!

I agree
I have there is a mobile pet grooming business in Findlay that uses it and in conjunction with using the whole system it sounds amazing.

I may give one of those a shot - It'd be worth it if it meant I didn't have to brush Star for an hour at a time before her shedding slows down. I love the slicker brush and the Shed'n blade, but it takes soooo long, and now that I don't live with her it's tough to keep up on grooming.

Looks very interesting, I might even get one.
Is this brush the same as a shedding blade or is it different?
I already have a shedding blade.

bowing my head in shame
with a red face :o :o
if this brush is anything like what I bought today for
only $10 (thank god) it is a glorified flea comb!
:eek::eek:
Thank god when I used it I didn't GET fleas off the critters!
At least what I bought today - CRAPPY is a good way to describe!
**slinks away in shame!**

if you look especially in Robin's qvc link it shows how narrow the blade is.
Now whose to say that in conjunction with the shampoo and the deshedding solution like at the groomer's it wouldn't work better but ??
Difference is the one I bought is vertical shaped not horizontal - does that make sense?
I do believe a shedding blade or a pin brush from Walmart works better!
My apology - sincere- to .sarah!

There is a possibility that I wasn't doing it right -
there is a possibility that the furminator is vastly different from what I bought today!

I have 3 brushes that are all similar to that one (I bought one the other 2 were gifts). I also have a few friends that different brushes that are also very similar. Although they are not the exact same but VERY similar... seems as though just the shape is different, they do now work any better than any other comb, brush etc...
The blades (or prongs or whatever they are called) are all very close together on the deshedding brushes/combs that I have & it looks like that one is the same too... even on a well groomed dog it is hard to groom them with blades that close together.

I personally don't really like them. They don't seem to make that much of a difference at all & it takes longer to brush them.
