Well........It's gonna happen tomorrow. I'm a nervous wreck. I know
everyone's gone through it......but, ohhh. I'll take him in at 8am and
pick him up at about 2:30pm. I'll be busy all morning, so maybe I'll
not think of it so much.....not! Dr. Moon told me not to tell him what's
going on. They really love him there, so I'm mostly ok with it. I know
they will take good care of him. Everytime we go in for meds or some
thing, the girls just get all crazy over him. Not to mention, Dr. Moon.
He always gets down on the floor with him and roughs him up while he's
talking to me. Anywhoo, we're just wanting hugs and kisses from our
PT folks. This is the place we know we can depend on.
Of course, I babied him ALL day, with several trips to the park, extra
snacks, and took him with me on all my errands. Oh yeah, and raw
meat chopped up in his cereal, and most of my dinner as well. He will
be fine, it's me that's being a big baby about the whole thing.
Just thought I should tell you guys. And don't forget the hugs and
kisses. Please?

(((((((( hugs )))))))) to you & Maximus. He'll be fine. Last year I took Speedo in for his neuter, I was pretty shocked at how it looked when he got home, but it healed quickly. I can just see Maximus - he'll lap up all that babying! Good luck sweetie pie.

Yes! I loved it too.

MAXIMUS ok. He is slow going though. It's
the sedation thing hanging on but still ok. He has had sedation
problems in the past. That's why I put it off for so long. In any
case, he's doing well. Every time I move he opens his eyes. It took
us almost 20min to get him out of the car and into the house. I
thought he was awake. Seeing as how he was sitting with his nose
out the window. I almost had to carry him out of the car. But I just
sat there with his door open and talked to him and rubbed his lil
head. His head BTW is always wrinkled. But he had the helmet head.
Helmet head is the name I gave him when I saw him comming out of
sleep, or just so sleepy. But we did finally get in the house. I had to
put off a few calls I got for work. They ALL understood. Which makes
me feel really good. I am, and will be working for dog lovers.
I'm still worried(of course), that he is still so sluggish and dopey.
Dr. Moon assures me that he's ok. But it will still be slow going. He
will most likely be ready and willing to take on life, before the drugs
get through him. He gave me his home number, in case I think I just
need to talk to him. Dr. Moon has called twice already. I think he is
just as worried about the sedate thing as well.
MAXIMUS is doing fine. Other than the sleepy, sluggish who cares
what's going on thing, I think he's doing fine. Of course......I'll be up
all night. Dr Moon said I should watch him all night. That will not be
a problem. As, I am not going to sleep anyway. I will keep up the
updates. Just wanted to thank everyone for all the hugs and positive
thoughts.

I am glad to hear Maximus is home, and on his way to recovery. Well, sleeping is probably the best thing for him right now. I know it is very hard to see your normally happy dog acting like he hasn't got a clue what is going on, but it will/would be hard trying to keep him calm while he is healing if he weren't so out of it. I didn't know that poor Maximus didn't take well to be sedated. Poor baby. Big Hugs to him and you.

Barbra; We can sense the huge relief in your post about Maximus. It wouldn't be the same if we didn't worry ourselves sick about them would it?:)

:) I'm so glad the handsome boy came through fine... I'm sure he'll be back to his happy lovable self in the morning! Any surgery is hard to go through, but in the end neutering him is sooo worth the worry. He'll thank you!

I'm so sorry I had to work and missed this. You know I would much rather be at home worrying about your gorgeous MAXIMUS boy with you:)
Glad to hear that he's home and doing alright. I know it took Bon a few days before he was totally himself, guess they're just so big they need more "knock out juice";)
Of course we're sending lots of love, hugs, kisses and slurps his way and hope he'll be back in action in no time!

PS did you opt for the laser surgery?
