I was thinking this morning, depending on how you look at it Kaige may or may not be 6 months old yet. lol

You see he's 24 weeks old (well now just a little over) but he was born on May 29th.
So would he be 6 months old on Nov. 29th or would it have been when he turned 24 weeks (average of 4 weeks per month, times 6 equals 24 weeks)? Or is he 6 months old twice? lol :p

What would your guess be?

....huh. I would go by months, really. Though I have NEVER thought of it that way before!! I guess this would kind of be like.. what if you were born on February 29, you know lol. Would you only turn a year older every four years?? Its --kind of-- the same concept.

But its just easier to think in terms of months rather than weeks, especially when they start getting older

I remember thinking that with Finn, too. ha ha, but, i always just go by the actual date. He was born on December 24, so, I just went June 24 as his six month birthday. ;) Happy early six month birthday, Kaige! :)

I was thinking the same thing about my pregnancy. If we look at weekly, I'm 34 weeks, which is 8 months, right? But I'm not due for another 6 weeks. We're supposed to be pregnant for 40 weeks. So does that mean I'm pregnant for 10 months?

If I were to go monthly, I'm closer to 7 1/2 months.

I think monthly is a safer bet, because technially, only Feburary has 4 weeks. All the other months are longer.

Aww, heck with it. Let's do like Carmen said and celebrate twice.

Happy 6 months, cutie Kaige!!!

actually, dates and times can never be exact, they have to change around lots of things to get the calendars about the same, that is what the leap year is for anyway. It is all just legal, so always go by the months. If his birthday is May 29th then his 6 month birthday is November 29th officially.

in pregnancy the the months are just an approxomation. It is counting gestation period, a period of time, not official dates so then you go by weeks because they always have seven days.
