Sorry, but this is about myself :o ; I am VERY worried about something right now. There is a hard pain in both sides of my hips (in the joint??). This is making it almost impossible to stand up fast from a chair, or couch, and bending down to pick up a cat is out of the question too :( . I know I will need to take anti-inflammatory pills; but the problem here is that I am NOT allowed to take any medicine that thins my blood: I already take those, and my blood is very thin now.
I didn't sleep last night because I couldn't stand laying on my left side, nor on my right side. Sleeping on my back is out of the question because I snore then
I called a back-specialist this morning. I am lucky; someone gave up his appointment of 10.30 this morning; so I get it!!
Cross your tails and fingers for me please, I cannot take any more bad news now..... :(

I will update when I return back home!

I've started to have some flare ups of what I suspect is arthritis myself. I am referencing here an article about the anti-inflammatory properties of cherries. I eat the dried cherries and I do believe they provide some help for me.

Back home from doctor. He did a echo, to see if there were fluid inside the joints, but he couldn't find any. He says that "of course" he wanted to know where the severe pain comes from; so he wants me to go to the hospital tomorrow for X-rays . I wonder what they will see on those   . I will have the results only NEXT week  . In the meantime? All I can do is take lots of painkillers and hope that things won't get much worse :( :(
How depressing....... :(

I'm sorry you are having this trouble. :( Having pain that just lingers
on & on can be very depressing. I do hope the Drs can find the source of the pain and offer an answer to your questions. Hang in there Lut. :)

I am so sorry to hear this. Did he say anything else would help - heating pads or something like that? My mom swears by heating pads when her hips hurt. Many prayers for you.

So sorry to hear about your pain, I do hope it improves to being tolerable while you wait for the results. My chiropractor does wonders when my hips are causing me grief, I thank goodness for his talent.

I'm sending tons of good thoughts your way.

I had someething similar happen just a couple months ago with one of my hips. It ended up being tendonitis. It was extremely painful to move, especially going from sitting to standing or vice-versa.
I hope it's something simple.

If you need anything, to talk or whatever om or emial me. Good luck sweetie!

My Mama always said the ONLY thing that don't hurt as you get old is your HAIR! I am finding she is right! Pains comes suddenly out of nowhere and hurts for days, then go away...... sometimes.. I got up one day from lunch and BOTH of my knees felt like they were "rusty joints".. That was about 4 years ago and they have HURT like Heck ever since! If I don't take Aleve every day, I can hardly bend them for the pain. I hope your solution is as easy as mine. 1 Aleve a day and that is IT!

awww Lut :( How frustrating for you! I am sorry youi have this new pain to worry about and bother you right now. Did the doctor suggest it might be sciatica?? That is inflammation of the sciatic nerve that goes up the leg, through the hip joint and around to the butt....it is very painful when it flares up - makes the hip feel weak and can make pain shoot down the leg....if so - there are stretching exercises for this. I know they still have to rule out other problems. I hope you will get some answers and maybe some relief my friend!

((((HUGS)))) to you

Lut, how are you?? I hope that the pain meds are helping some. Heck, check into Rachel's cherry remedy! That sounds like a wonderful suggestion to me that doesn't involve medication!

Update us when you can.

He he, that describes the pain exactly!! When I try to get after being on my pc during 30 minutes, it hurts like hell :( . I hope they can help me with this! The biggest problem is again that I just cannot take ANY medicine: this is because I take bloodthinners, and lots of meds also make blood thinner. This would be very dangerous for me, as my stomach might start bleeding, and before I would realize this, it would be to late! I am soscared to be involved in a car accident now, because by the time they get me to the hospital, I would bleed to death  . So, I attached a message to my ID, saying "THIS PERSON IS TAKING BLOODTHINNER "Marivan"!

Gosh, Lut, the one thing you did not need - is unexplained pain. I hope that the Dr. will be able to pinpoint the problem and find a good solution for you.

Don't you just love getting older? So many surprises that you weren't counting on!

I send you a big hug and hope that you will be feeling better soon.

Update

I went for X-rays today. That doc was NOT very "understanding"! She did NOT understand why some "poses" were hard and painful for me!! I know she doesn't feel what I feel, but she could at least be friendly
She will send the pics and comment to my back-doc. I will know more next week then....

I am sorry the xray doctor was not very understanding and sympathetic, but we will give her the benefit of the doubt and say that she might be having a bad day. :(

I hope the xrays show something that your back doctor can fix.

I hope they find something in the x-rays. Did they do a MRI as well?
I wish you the best of luck. I know it is a terrible pain!

I hope they can find what's causing the pain and fix you up. Aren't there pain drugs that won't thin the blood? Can't you ask your doc about those?

I just saw this thread. I hope the x-rays will show what is going on and that you are feeling better very soon.
