As lot of you know Beenie was spayed about Oct. 27th.
I noticed a lump (actually 3 lumps) along her incision. I took her to the vet Friday to have them look at it. I don't know who looked at it (my hubby went to the vet because I had to work) and they said it was a pimple.
It does not look like a pimple to me.
She has 3 very hard lumps. Anyone had a similar experience.
I will post pics in a bit.
Let me know if this is normal.

are they small or large? Maggie got those, but they said they would go away. They did after a while. Autumn got them too but hers went away later. You should post pics so i can see if they are the same.

ok, I will upload them and post the pics.
They seem to be the size of a chickpea or small marble.
Thanks for your response.

Here are the pictures. Not very good quality.

Are they absorpable sutures? It's not uncommon for those types of sutures to leave a small, hard bump like that as they heal under the skin. The incision looks pretty good - I would start to worry if she chews at them or if they start to become really inflamed and ooze puss.

The stiches were removed last Monday.
No puss or open anything.
Just these hard lumps under the skin.

Hmm... those dont look like what Maggie and Autumn got. Maggie and Autumns were "inside them" and they were much larger, you couldnt "see them" you could tell there was something abnormal, but no discoloration on the skin, you could only feel them. Maybe you should bring her in if you get time, and see what they say. They will probably just go away, as did Maggie and Autumns, and the vet told us just to bring them home, because they would go away. If you would feel better about it though, I would take her in yourself and see what they say.

ok, I think I will.
I am so sick of going back though... I hope they don't think I'm crazy.

You're not crazy, Carmen. You're just concerned as I would be. I can't offer any advice, only support.

Please let us know what happens!

i think Lucy got one of those where she was spayed. Her's wasnt that big though. Her's was just a small little bump, but it went away after a few weeks.I thought it was just part of her healing  But i'm not sure.
i would take her to the vet again.

Angel was spayed a few weeks ago as well and she also has little lumps on her tummy. I thinks its just normal scar tissue that goes down over time.

No you're not! you should have seen me last year when Abby was spayed! It was the first time I saw a small animals spayed (with as big as Nicki is, her swelling looked small... but the same size swelling on little thing????? ) I was a mess worried about poor Abby and worrying whether it was normal or not. Thank goodness I had another foster spayed a week later and witnessed the same thing or I'd have worried forever about it!

How's our Beenie doing?

The same. The bumps are still there.
I didn't take her to the vet. I wanted to wait a little more to see if they were to go down on thier own.
Thx for asking.
