I'm a member on a Border Collie rescue message board and one of my friends rescue girls was pregnant and gave birth to some puppies. I totally fell in love with one of the Brindle BC mix pups, Peter:

I told her I just loved him.. she said I could have him and she could help with transport.. BUTTTTT....

She's all the way down in Arkansas and I'm in Manitoba, CANADA. :(

You do realize that I live IMMEDIATELY north of Arkansas, correct? And I will be traveling to St. Louis this winter?? ;)

Better yet maybe I could talk HJ into taking a trip to Omaha to visit his friends.. ;)

Convincing my parents. I don't know how much it would cost via airplane. Any help finding out? I would totally be willing to pay for it if my parents would say we can take him!!

well you can ask the "breeder" to see if she knows, but a while ago i saw it was around 200-250 dlls if i recall, or you can call any airline and ask for an approximate.

 OMG, way too cute! I would not be able to resist that handsome boy, either!! I really do hope you can adopt him, definitely start working on your parents as soon as possible... try guilt-tripping them! It always works ;)... I'm sure Mickey is VERY "lonely" without another dog, and 2 BC's ARE easier than one. hehe

I think you could probably find a group of people that would help to deliver him from AK to the border, at least. Would your parents be willing to drive into the US to get him? That's really nice of you, Jessika ^-^

When my Nova was flown to me from GA it cost about $250.00 via Delta Airlines. And I think Delta is the only ones that will fly pets now. Good luck, he's a cutie!

Heh, I think driving on my parents part would make this a definite no.

Where was Nova coming from and where are you?

Jess, maybe you should come to Canada for a visit?! *COUGH COUGH COUGH*

haha if I could, I would, but I think your parents would be a little more freaked at the fact that some stranger you met on the internet is coming than getting a puppy XD

I am guessing it cost about 250 dollars to fly an animal. But maybe it depends on age. Or weight.

It would cost $700 to fly him. It's definitely out of the question. :(

Awww I'm sorry :( Well at least there are lots of snuggly pups at nearby shelters you can look into getting, right? :)
