View Full Version : Anyone have a pooch that LOVES lotion?

Hey guys,

Since this is the season for slathering up, we've found another quirk of Angel's is that she LOVES to lick lotion off of freshly moisturized extremities!

It's nearly impossible to keep her away. Any flavor, even unscented, gets her coming.

From the little that I've found, it's usually harmless in small amounts. She doesn't take the bottles, just licks it from our skin.

I had never heard of this, but a church member said her granddog did the same thing!

All I know is that I HATE the taste of lotion... but to each their own!

Yeah whenever I put lotion on, Jamie and Charlie will constantly lick me. And WON'T. GO. AWAY.

It's worse though when I put oil on my elbows when they get dry or hurt and Jamie comes up and licks it all right off.. :rolleyes:

zoey loves my sweet pea lotions!!! Gosh she get so excited when I put it on!!! What's so good about lotion anyway!!??!!?? :confused:

Kodies horrible for that,lol.Your get your legs nice and soft and he has to go lick it clean :rolleyes:lol.He also likes sunscreen :eek: .

Same thing with Chica. I will put lotion on my legs and immediately she jumps off the bed to lick my legs. ;)

Same thing with Samson - and now Delilah. They both love to lick the lotion from my legs. It's kind of nice getting a leg massage :)

Yup, all 3 of mine do it, although Nanook loves it a little more than the other 2.

Kyra and Jack are the lotion lovers at my house, the other three don't seem to care.

I never knew so many dogs did this!!!
