Hey guys, sorry its been awhile since I have posted here. I bet I have missed alot.

Star got spayed a couple of days ago. Broke my heart to see her go but when I came to get her, she was purring up a storm so the pain meds made her feel really good.

I am worried because its been a couple of days and she seems lethargic and tired. She seems a little pale too. Lizzy, keeps meowing at me all day so I have this faintest feeling she is trying to tell me something. You ever get that feeling that something is not quite right?

Maybe I am thinking and worrying too much but do you guys think I should be worried?

Is she eating and drinking normally?

Is she still taking pain meds? Maybe they are causing her to be lethargic. When Rumor was spayed back in January she didn't take any pain meds and was back to her normal feeling good self withing 48 hours.

I think you should call your vet and let them know.

Poor little thing. Lori has a point with the pain meds. When I give them to Pouncer for his foot, he seems so out of it and sad looking. I've only been giving thm to him at night because of this.

When Abby was spayed,, she had an allergic reaction to the internal stitches. Is the incision area red? How swollen? You should expect a certain amount of swelling, but if it looks excessive, she might have an allergic reaction too. It just about killed me to see how sad and pitiful Abby looked after her spay.

I hope it's nothing serious ... I'd call your vet just to ease your mind. Good luck!

I think you should call the Vet., too. If it's related to the surgery, there shouldn't be any extra charge for it, etc., if you have to take her in to be checked. Annie was up and around within 48 hours of her surgery, too---not really running around, but at least eating and playing and stuff.

I sure hope that it's nothing serious. I'd also call the vet. I hope that Star makes a speedy recovery and feels better soon. Please keep us updated.

How is Star today? Is she feeling any better? It would probably be a good idea to call your vet. Like people, each cat is different. If there is some problem with her recovery ( and I sure hope not) your vet needs to know ASAP! Prayers beind said for Star. Please let us know how she's doing?
