Great pictures! I must upload pics from Fleet Week and my firm's 60th Anniversary party at Hiller Aviation Museum a week or so ago - that was fun! We had full run of the museum for the evening with h'ors douevres (sp?), drinks and then dinner. I wanted to sit in the cockpit of the Blue Angel's plane, but there were no docents around - darn!

A few more pictures to check out!

I have to say that they men and women who support and fly these machines do not do it for the money or the fame. You will never see them on the tube or hear their names mentioned in the news.

"A helicopter/plane went down over ------- today and all on board are presumed dead." isn't a fitting epitah for these kids who really work hard to keep freedom free.

It was fun to have a group of them walk by and telling them that "They Rocked!"

It was great to see some tech, pilot or AP light up with a smile.

You know I can honestly say that my time in the Air Force was a total buzz. The best time in my life where I did the job for the shear hell of it. (it certainly wasn't the money). You are so right Richard, tell any airman/pilot there aircraft is hot, and it's the quickest way to get a smile. :) As I right this I glance up to the plaque given to me by my CO when I left the sqaudron to learn business management. I cant say I regret the decision, but I sure do miss those days at times. Even nowadays 18 years after I left, I still get together with mates from 33 Squadron.
(Richard, those nuff nuffs, would certainly get the message if any avgas would have exploded. ;) )

The last of my airshow photos.

Some of the photos are ho hum..I don't have a zoom lense camera,
But you can see the "parade of planes" and the smoke and explosions from a reenactment of the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

They have eight restored Japanese planes that fly the show, complete with explosions, smoke and machine guns.

The announcer made a point about the men who were away from home for the first time and awoke to a air strike...

The show went on for about 15 minutes- I started to feel angry and then scared...by the time the show ended, I was stunned.

The friend I went with made this observation after it was all over....

"That was intense, I would have needed a paint scraper to clean my underwear..."
