A few people expressed some interest in doing it again so I'll give it a try. And please remember I'm new at this!!


So for the newbies, this is what is happening:



Submit your screen name and your REAL name to me, either by the way of PM, Email, Messenger, or on this thread directly. You have until Friday to sign up [but if you guys think it is too soon let me know]
Once we have gotten everyone who wants to participate, I compile a list of everyones names.
You take the list of EVERYONES names and compliment each person on the list. (Obviously not yourself, unless you want to!) Nothing huge or dramatic is needed, just a simple, feel-good compliment to each person on the list, even if you aren't friends with that person. If it comes up that you don't know the person AT ALL, please make an effort to look up some of their posts, PM them, talk to them or some other way. Please try not to make stuff up!
Once you are finished complimenting everyone, send the list back to me via PM. If for some reason you cannot send it by PM, you may email me or send it through Messenger.
After I get all of the lists I put each persons compliments onto another sheet and then I send all of YOUR compliments (the compliments people have said about YOU) to you. You do not get to see who sends them, unless the person signs their names after their compliments.

I'm excited about this swap. I look forward to it everytime.

Come on guys, we need more participants. It's so nice to know you're cheering up someone's day just by a simple comment.

I think you've done good, Lindsey, especially since it's your first time. I believe you've covered everything. As for the dates, if you're going to have the deadline as November 4 (to have your name on the list) then maybe give the participants 2 or so weeks to write them. But, if the first date is going to be pushed back, make the deadline for having them sent off to you as early December. Just my 2 cents. :)

Not sure what works for everyone else but most of November will be VERY busy for me. (Audrey is flying in tomorrow, Flying to Utah until the 25th.)

Maybe we can make the deadline on/around Christmas, and everyone could recieve them as a Christmas Gift? :)

we are only 10!:( We were about 20 the last time.... maybe we should wait some more time, I'm sure that there are lots of people who would love to join, and haven't seen this thread yet!

On Monday, when everyone has signed up, you will take the list of everyone who has signed up and paste it in a word document. You will compliment each person and send the document to me by December 15. On December 15th when everyone has sent the compliments in, I will seperate them and send you your compliments. I hope that made sense. :p

I think this is PLENTY enough people! LoL. It makes it possible for everybody to write REALLY long compliments :D

It's easy to write "really long compliments" but you don't want to just make a bunch of stuff up. :) You want to mean what you say, and I usually have a lot to say. lol.


Lindsey, I think we should do whatever you want to do! There are plenty of people right now, but if you want to wait, that's fine too. Have you advertised this over in DG, CG, and PG?

Personally, I think it's fine with this many people. You can cross-post too, but even if no one else joins in, we should still do it. I've never done one of these before, so I'm pretty excited ;)
