Peggy has been spayed this morning, and she has spent most of the day sleeping in her carrier. I saw her this evening after work, and she was doing well, according to the circumstances. She was already able to walk, and she has eaten and peed.

As soon as she stepped out of her carrier, she jumped (!) onto the window sill and sat there. And this is how she spent the evening: Sitting in the window, looking outside, watching Dino and Rocky. She whines and cries in a very low voice, it does not sound like her at all! But I'm sure she'll be doing much better tomorrow!

Look how miserable she is:

The incision is hidden under some kind of band aid:

Awww....poor little Peggy, she does look rather pitiful. Is that her carrier? If so, I think that is the cutest cat carrier I've ever seen! :)

She sure is a cutie pie. :)

Yes, that's her carrier. This kind of "kitty basket" is very common in Germany.

I love the kitty carrier, too. Peggy looks so "brave" in this photo:http://www.catmom.de/pix/peggy101.jpg

She'll be back up and running around in no time! I'm glad she's back home now where she belongs, though. It can be such a worry sometimes while they're still at the Vet's....

Oh little Peggy, we can't give you belly rubs yet, but we'll give you gentle scritches and tender head-bumpies. Sweet girl, you will feel much better tomorrow after you have had a good night's rest.

SO glad it's all over! And, please don't JUMP!

Little Peggy
What you went through was very scary.
But your Meeowmie and Human Sister, did what was best for you.
And you will feel a whole lot better once the scar heals.
We know because we have been through all that ourselves.

I know it was a little scary, but you're back home now and everything's fine. Plus, you won't have to worry about getting "in trouble." ;)

It's okay now, Peggy... the worst part is over. Take full advantage of the chance to take naps, relax, and get some extra lovebug. You'll be feeling better very soon.

I'm glad to hear that her spay went well and I hope that she makes a speedy recovery. :) I'm surprised to see that she doesn't need to wear an e-collar though. Hopefully she'll leave her incision area alone so it can heal properly. :)

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! :) Peggy was a bit under the weather yesterday, she seemed to be in pain and slept a lot. But today, she was doing much better, according to my mother!
