On July 31, 2005 my beautiful blue mural Sheltie had to be put to sleep after her 8 month long battle with mammary/ lymphoma cancer. I was privileged to have her in my life. By fluke I caught an add on a sheltie breeder forum stating that a lady in Tallahassee Florida was offering breeding services of 2 of her females on a lease of one year. This is when my lovely CC and her cousin Rosy came to visit me. Needless to say my Sweet CC did not return home as we shared a sacred bond know one ever dared to invade. I was fortunate to have her about 8 wonderful years out of her 13 years of life. Its been very difficult living my life without her. We have since stopped breeding these days and although my family has 5 other dogs, my life is not empty with the desperate longing for my best friend. This is the feeling that only a surviving human companion can express after a loving pet has perished. Those who do not have the special forever in love connection with ones pets just don't seem to understand the great feeling of grief I feel. Only 2 months gone and it already seems like an eternity.
Missing you more and more as the hours pass, I crave your snuggly puppy embrace. God only knows why he took you from me but heaven knows I will come for you when the time is right.
