....the rug monster! Which was properly vanquished as soon as I turned the camera off. :rolleyes:

And here's a little video of Peanut playing with her mousie. She is a little more sedate in this video. Sometimes she goes absolutely bonkers, but of course, the camera is never handy when she does. :rolleyes: :D

We are pleased to see Peanut,is over her trip to the Vets,and is her old playful self again.
And theres a Package coming,for Peanut,and we pray that she likes our little surprise!

Can anybody see the video? This is my first time posting a video with the new software. I was able to view it with Real Player (my default video player) and then I saved it to my hard drive and opened it with Windows Media Viewer and it worked also. Didn't work with QuickTime though.

Let me know if anyone else can see it and with what software so I can look into this.

Thanks for all the nice comments! I was "out" last night and didn't get home until late (again :rolleyes: ), but Terry said he was a real popular guy. He had Peanut on his lap and CJ snuggled up next to him. It's nice to see old friends that you haven't seen in a long time, but I'm staying home tonight to get in on the snuggle sessions. ;)

CJ is a such a goofy boy, and yes, he's ready to protect Peanut - very alert he is there behind the door. ;)

I can't open the video either. I get the same message as Freckles. I thought it was because I just downloaded Windows Media Player 10 but guess not.

Hmmm....I checked and I've got Windows Media Player 10, and it's set to check codecs once a week. I made the video on Windows Movie Maker Version 5.1. I have no idea if these are the latest versions, but is it possible they are and the newer versions don't work with the older versions? Or maybe I have the older versions and they don't work with the newer versions?

Can somebody who can't download check their versions, then see if there are upgrades available and if so, upgrade and then try the video again? Freckles, thanks for the detailed error message. I'll try and do some research on that sometime today.

Oh, and I created the movie again so let me know if this one works.

Interestingly enough, the original video it says is 1011.1 kb and this second one is 1012.5, so maybe it forgot to add something in the first video. Can anyone see the second one?

In the last few days I had downloaded a bunch of codec thingys trying to get a different video to work. So in case that is messing with anything, I uninstalled my real player and quicktime and did all my Windows updates, so the only video anything I should have on my computer now is Windows. I went through and redid the video one more time to see if this works, hopefully, because it looks like the only other way to reinstall Windows Movie Maker is to uninstall SP2, and I'm not going to do that.

So, fingers crossed that this one works!

Hmmm....interestingly enough, I now get the same error you are all getting! How can a Windows program create a file that another Windows program can't open? :confused:

However.....I'm wondering.....is it something with my computer or is it maybe this new BB software? Has anyone else tried to post any videos?

Debbie, I got the same codec error message...........but when I started to close the error messages - the Windows Media player screen came up, I clicked on play and got to see the whole video.

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play.

That's what I get, Debbie, every time. :(

That's the message I get when I try to open the file. :confused:

*edit* Okay, when I get the error, the Player does open but gives me a 'no attachment' in the viewing area.

After closing the error message box, I hit play anyway, and I could see the video! :D

I'm going to try to attach an old video that I know played on here last year. It's poor quality but it's just a test.

EDIT - I can't get it to play from this attachment either. I get the same error.

I've had no problems viewing the videos of Peanut in Real Player 10.5 or Windows Media Player 10.0.

The video of Peanut is cute, especially with her toy mousie.

I downloaded Real Player http://www.real.com/realplayer.html?country=US&language=EN&opage=rpchoice&type=dlrhap_bb&pp=player&src=realplayer,093005rpchoice_1_3_2_1_1_1 and made it my default media player and now all the videos in this thread open correctly - including Jazzcat's - in Real Player. I say if Windows is going to be difficult to heck with them! ;)

Oh, and make sure to click on the FREE player. No need to pay for it unless you want the extras the paid version provides. They will try to get you to pay for it a couple times, so just make sure you read and continue to click on the FREE version. :)
