Hi, Starr's supposed to be getting his stitches taken out on Sat. at 11am as long as he's healed enough. Well last night when I was cleaning his litterbox, I noticed that he had blood in his urine. :( I called the vets this morning and they said that they'd let the doctor know about this.

I only let Starr out to eat and drink and I let him out again to feed him again and then I picked him up and I noticed that he had blood on part of his incision. :( Some how one of the stitches had come out. I called the vets again and now I'm going to be dropping him off on my way to work so that they can watch him. I sure hope that he'll be okay and that this won't cause him any more problems. I didn't notice this last night but maybe this is the also the reason why he had blood in his urine. :( Please wish him well. Thanks in advance. :)

Aww Poor Starr! I'm praying that it's just a stich mishap and that he'll be good as new in no time.

Hopefully it's due to this and not more UTI problems. Will be waiting for the update.

Thanks everyone. :) Starr is now a conehead with his latest e-collar since he tore holes in his last one. His little owie due to one of his stitches getting pulled out is healing up fine. :) The bad news is that he won't be able to have his stitches taken out on Saturday. :( He now has to wait until Tuesday morning at 9am and he'll also have another urinalysis taken then. The vet wants to wait a bit before it's taken again since he just finished his antibiotics and the blood may have been due to his missing stitch. I just hope that everything will work out and that he'll remain healthy with no more UTI or any other issues. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks. :)

Here are two new pictures of little conehead Starr. The bad thing is that it's very hard for him to eat and drink with it on but I don't want to have to remove it each time either. I now have to feed and water him out of different little bowls. I'm sure he'll get the hang of it. :)

I forgot to mention that the vets office didn't even charge me anything today. They wanted to charge me for the new e-collar but the receptionist didn't want to charge me so everything was free today. :) I've spent so much money there lately that I think I deserve a break. ;)

Well he managed to get out of this new e-collar. Luckily he did it right in front of me so that I could put it back on right away. Whoever puts the e-collars on him at the vets doesn't seem to tie it tight enough. He has a very small neck so he's able to pull himself out of it. I had to rethread one of the holes while he was trying to play with the gauze string tie and then I had to tie it on him much tighter and knot it. I also noticed that his last stitch is now missing but at least theres no blood. Maybe by the time Tues. morning comes most of his stitches will have already fallen out. LOL :)

Starr boy, you need to keep yourself in that collar until you heal! No taking the stiches out yourself!

Fingers and paws crossed that he'll be all better on Teusday. Poor baby has been through enough!
