Where can you get a good medium sized scraching post that isn't too expensive?

I find the best prices and quality at smaller pet stores or cat shows. :) That's where I've gotten all mine.

Good luck! :)

I cant really say,as I get mine from Petcetera, and that is a Canadian Company.
You could get carpet samples and nail them on a board, that would do as a Scratching Post.
The Chain Stoes, have flyers maybe they will have posts,on special one day.

:) I have gotten some from Walmart that was good.. The cheapest is E-Bay if the freight is not too high..

I make my own. I find it's much cheaper, and you get to pick the colors you want.

I was lucky that my Dad made mine for me! Years ago, when Tabby (now 17) was just about a year old, I had to go away for work and asked Mom and Dad to come over and feed her and take care of her. Of course, their not being "cat people" , they very reluctantly agreed. Well, I came home and Tabby had a new scratching post, several new toys, and Grandma and Grandpa began coming over at least once a week to play with her! That is, until I moved to another city (from Lafayette, Indiana to Ft. Wayne, Indiana) and they moved from Lafayette to Florida! But they always ask about her, and now my Sasha. They became "cat people" after seeing how adorable they truly are! :D

Check out the PetEdge catalog (not sure if they have a website). You can get anything cheap there.
