Today is Tigger's 8th birthday!
Some of you may already know his story. But I just have to share it!
I was about 10 when I got him. My cousin, Cathy, had 2 very tiny(5-6 weeks) stray kittens at her house. I seen them for a short while, and of course begged my parents to have one. We had just moved into our new house that summer, and I hadn't had a cat since I was a lot younger.
They finally agreed, and we went down to see them. Tigger was a tiny ball of orangeness, he was just skin and bones(hard to believe now ;)). We had to feed him from behind the fridge for a while before he would come out.
He was never very lovable, but that's what is so special about him. I remember the first time he came over for pets, the first time he got in my lap(for less than a minute), the first time I could pet him while he was on my lap, etc. Now he is very sweet, and loving. He naps on my bed, and runs to me for treats, and even plays.
Tigger is my soul cat. Every little thing he does just makes me melt, and sometimes even cry. Recently he started coming to my room to nap for the first time since Emma came along, and it had me in tears. I love my big guy, and it's been a wonderful 8 years :)
