Yep, you heard me right. We have finally decided that it's Bon's time to have the dirty deed done
I think he's pretty much grown into his body as much as he's going to. Sure he'll probably fill out a bit more over the next year but I think his bones and joints can handle it now.
I've been seeing a little difference in him and how he reacts to Huney (just a little too chummy with her recently  ) and know it really is time.

So if you could, just keep him in your thoughts on Wednesday that all will go well.
She said I'll be able to pick him up Wednesday night (I'm glad to hear that), so I'll update on how he's doing then.

Thanks!

Who would have ever thought that this little turd would have grown into such a gorgous boy;)

Of course i'll be thinking of my big Bon Bon. I'll have to tell everyone about him tomorrow - it's my Grandparent's 50th Anniversary and we're having a bunch of people over, so you'll have a lot of Floridians thinking of him. :)

Hugs to you and the girls, and my big boy Bon.

And he's going after HUNEY? She must have something about her like my lil Ki does... all the boys swam Ki and all the boys love Huney! You'd think they'd go for someone their own size! I guess they like those tiny skinny girls. :p

And he's going after HUNEY?

He's not really going after her, he's just a little too friendly with her and I'm hoping this will put an end to it ;)
All the boys just love those skinny girls don't they :p

Thanks everyone for the well wishes, I know he's going to do great!!!

Anna, I too, am relooking into MAXIMUS' (Shhhh) unspoken deed. We(the vet and I) are looking into a new sedation method. Otherwise he would have this done years ago. He had such a hard time when he tried to have his first damaged claw removed. The second was horrible. Two big guys, whom he truly trusted, just held him down for his surgery on his second claw removal. It was indeed, horrible. He just stepped on, first the walkway, then my boot of all things, and craked off his claw. Just enough to have to have it removed, twice, just so it would grow back ok. Two times!!!!!!
The first time, the sedation didn't go well at all. So, after years, yes years, of planning to have him........well, fixed(don't say it outloud), we're going to try something new. A test will be done first, then........ooooh, the deed. Anyway, like soooo many other PT pups.....he's well on his way. We are still going to have "his"(mine too) favorite vet. He is almost an hour away now. And, the only thing(person) we kept after the divorce. I may have to stay the night in a hotel. I have to be close. He's never been without me for more than an hour. I think I'm more worried than he will be. He'll be drugged, I won't. I'll let you all know "what" we work out.

Good luck BON! We're thinking about you. Tons of furry hugs and sloppy kisses. You too Anna and Mark, I know we shouldn't worry, but......they are our love and joy. I know everything will be ok.

OH, BON.......We just love you so much. You'll be ok. Just want to send hugs and kisses to Mom and Dad. They are the ones to worry about.

I just got what what you were saying(ok...I'm slow sometimes.) Yeah, it was funny. But, OHHHH....Us as parents, don't handle these things well.....BOOOOO! Waaah!!! But then again.....we are strong!!!

NOT!!!!! But, we'll live.

My boy is at the vets now. He was happy to be going bye-bye, but once he found out where we were all he wanted to do was leave (can't say I blame him).
Looks like it's about $1/pd so luckily he still weighs only 130 lbs! But then he needs his vacs, and his heartguard. I also oped to have the pre-surgery tests done and to have the lazer surgery done. It's extra but if it helps him heal sooner, it will be worth it.

I took a couple of pics on the way to the vet and thought I would share.
