Springtime means more birdies at the feeder to watch. The tail swishing has started and the little chirp sounds have begun as the activity at the feeder has increased!

S P R I N G

Last year at this time my Korean neighbors decided to water clean their house with a strong hose. They were pointing it at the eves of the house when I came flying out of my house and pointed to the bird's nest with Mama sitting on her egg. Their reaction was "SO?" They must have thought I was absolutely nuts, but I made them carefully move the nest from their house to mine.

This year I have noticed with great joy that the Mama is back and sitting on a new egg - at my house!

My neighbors have moved - they probably wanted to get away from the nutty lady next door.

How sweet Gini - even the birdies recognise pet/birdie lovers and come back to re-visit - aren't you the lucky one :) :)

Glad to know poetry is alive and well Purrley!!!:D

And next Tuesday we're off to Spain for a week - can hardly wait - see the sun again - yippeeee!

I was amazed, but yes, she did. You have no idea what I put those guys through to move the nest safely - used towels so there wouldn't be any scents.

I was so upset I even remember saying to them "How would you like it if someone hosed you out of your bed?" I went back into my house and started to laugh at myself.

We once let a pair of mourning doves hatch their eggs in a hanging basket in front of our garage door. They dive bombed us every time we walked by to get to our cars. Poor Edwina -- who didn't even notice them was dive bombed a few times while outside as well. Once the hatchlings left we removed the basket. Those are MEAN birds!

Speaking of birds, I played hookey this morning and went to a gardening class at the Botanic Gardens. There were ROBINS!!!

Spring is coming for sure!

I don't think Mother nature knows that it is not to be snowing. It has been snowing all day here and we have several inches on the ground and it is still snowing. More than we probably have had all winter. It's Spring!! Misty is looking out the patio wondering what is all over the patio. I want warm weather!! :)
