I could have sworn I did an entry on her with a picture. I'm almost sure I did but I did a search and can't find it anywhere. She is a sweet Calico barn cat that was at the barn when Flair was about 2 years old. I stopped by there last month because I'd noticed some changes and wanted to see what's going on. The owner's good daughter now lives there and she and her husband are really making the place nice. They have sold a little bit of the land up front and someone is getting ready to build. That's why I stopped by. Anyway, I got out of the car and not thinking about how long it's been, started calling for Ethel. She and I had a special relationship while I was there both when Flair was young and then about 5-6 years ago. All of a sudden, I see this coming towards me, meowing.

She was meowing and then I told people I had mistaken her for Ethel. I didn't think she would still be alive. I was brought to tears when I found out that it was really her. There's no telling how old she is. Flair is 22 now so she's at least got to be 20. How can that be? I love this cat so much. The good daughter now let her come into the house any time she wants. Poor thing. Her meow is so hoarse. She's kind of grouchy now as she's so old. She only likes to be petted on the head. She's spent a lot of time on my lap while I was waiting for Flair to finish eating, purring all the while. I can't explain how much I love her and was so happy to see her again.

I had walked down to Flair's old stall and she even followed me, like she used to do. I feel blessed to have seen her again. I don't know how much longer she'll live but I hope it's long enough for me to see her once more.
