Is it "roll call" or "role call"??

Help please! I had to take "minutes" for a meeting tonight, and I can't find anywhere what the correct way of writing "role/roll call" is.

Mark insists that it is "roll"
I say "role"

Help! Which is it??? :confused: :rolleyes:
