Pictures from the Bark in the Park

We weren't planning on going this year, and today was looking pretty miserable:( But I decided since Roxey gets to go to the Husky Hike, Huney needed to have a little outing of her own so off we went!
Luckily it cleared up and the sun came out! We met quite a lot of nice doggies while we were there and there were all kinds of freebies and such.
We didn't stay very long (it was just Huney and I), maybe a couple of hours but of course while I was there I took a few pictures:)

I met a lovely woman who was entered with her dogs Dominick and Phoenix in the look alike contest. We sat together and I made great friends with her wonderful dogs (which btw are both rescues)!

Needless to say I received plenty of lovin' from the both of them:D

And of course there were a couple of English Mastiff's there too.

There were also quite a few standard poodles there, but this one really caught my eye!

I loved these two. The one on the left was a therapy dog. She came right up to me, put her arms around me and gave me a big hug! It was great:D

They were trying to sell him, obviously back yard breeders. But I tell you, he was just about the sweetest little thing I've ever seen! I wanted so bad to bring him home. I really hope whoever gets him will give him a good life, he really deserves it.
This was the mom and dad, nice looking pair.

Looks like a fun day. What a wonderful variety of dogs. :) I too wish we could have seen pictures of pretty Huney enjoying the day. But I am glad to hear that she had her very own Mommy and me day, and I am sure that she had a great time. I am glad that you got to go, and took the camera. ;)

looks like great day! Oh, just look at that poodle-girl! (I'll bet Gonzo- the-punk-rock-bc would just love her style!) Sweet sweet rottie pup, so fuzzy, I would want to take him home, too. And of course, gotta see those handome sibes! and Mastiffs...and cresteds...and greyhounds....and....:)

Zeus the brindle Mastiff looks alot like Bon and the other Mastiff looks like he weighs about 300 pounds. What a big boy!! Dominick does look alot like Roxey. What a great time it looks like everybody had:)

Anna it looks like a great day. Any day surrounded by dogs is a great day in my opinion! ;) Dominick sure was handsome and he does look like Roxey. I am sure she'd have given him a sniff or two. LOL! I'm glad the weather turned out good. The last two events I have gone to have been HOT! I missed seeing your girl Huney too but I know how hard it can be to be handling a camera and leash at the same time. I have taken a couple of accidental pictures of the ground myself. :rolleyes: I got a kick out of this picture.

What a bunch of great looking pups. That little crested is a wild one, it's hair reminds me of Maggie's when she gets it all messed up. Poor little Rottie pup, hope he gets a great home.

No, they were different people. And these rotties weren't fat at all like the ones last year:o

I'm glad you all enjoyed the pictures. And no, I didn't get any pictures of Huney. I don't think she would have even looked at me if I tried. She was so busy sniffing and smelling the ground and everything else to even look at me! She's not really one of those dogs everyone loves, alot of people said "Oh look at that cute dog" but not too many people approached us....guess it's because she's a dreaded CHOW:p

Awwww cute pics Anna! We went to our annual Bark in the park on 9/27/05 of this year, and had just a BLAST!!!
Anna, i'm tellin you, I've never seen so many doggies in my life.
We also saw the world's tallest dog, Gibson, a harlequin (sp?) Great Dane! He was sooo tall! (And very friendly, too;) )


The reason I posted that pic of the ADORABLE rottie pup, is because this kinda concerns me: first of all, I HATE BYB, and this pup really should not be wearing a choke/pinch collar at such a young age. just my 2 cents for the day.:)
