We just got the phone call from the vet office tell us that Lilith has been returned from the pet memorials. Guido just left to go get her. I have not been in the vet office since the day we lost her and I don't intend to go back there. She will be home in about 30 minutes. Just wanted to let everyone know because you have all been sooo supportive and kind throughout this whole ordeal. Thank you once again everyone from the bottom of our hearts.

Oh, Michelle, this has to be bitter-sweet for you and Guido. It has to hurt a lot and I wish I could say something to ease your grief.

Just know that I am thinking of you a lot and I know Lilith is happy at the RB.

That's nice that Lilith is coming back home, to her final resting place.

This is going to be very emotional, I suppose, but from now on, your mourning process may begin.

R.I.P., sweet Lilith

Give me a moment and I will upload a picture. Guido is home with our girl. She came home in a lovely blue stone urn with a cremation certificate as well as something we didn't expect. Her paw print in clay. She is home. I will always have her little paw to hold in my hand. I really miss her and this is the first time in days now that I cried.

R.I.P. baby girl you are my angel now and will forever be in my heart. I love you Lilaboo.

Oh, this makes me cry now... This is such a wonderful gift. I have a paw print of my RB Katz (made when she was still alive), and it is VERY precious to me.

(((HUGS, you're not alone in this moment))))

Thanks guys. I know I am not crying alone. I was prepared for everything else but not the pawprint and the second I held it in my hand and ran my thumb over the indenture I lost it. She was a very special little girl and left her pawprints on many a heart.

I know this is something to be treasured.

Rest easy, little Lilith.

Oh yes, that pawprint is so touching. Made me tear up instantly.

I bought a memorial stone for Disney that I placed out back in a landscaped area that she loved to walk around in. I don't have anything else of hers, the vet didn't offer cremation services. I'm okay about it but that paw print makes me wished I had something special like that.

That is very sweet of the vet's office to do that.

That paw-print is definitely a tear-jerker. I am so glad that you have that to keep with the urn and the certificate. I sure hope you can grieve like you need to grieve, and get it out. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.......

The pet mortuary returned my Danté's ashes with a ceramic paw print too. It took a while for me to find a picture frame deep enough to hold it. I succeeded in finding one at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I miss him a lot but it's nice to have something of him other than a few whiskers he shed and a lot of pictures.

The paw print did me in too Michelle. :( Sweet little Lilith you are dearly missed and always will have a plce in your meowmie & pawpie's hearts. My boy Willy needs a more appropriate urn now. I've been searching for just the right one, but haven't found anything that's suitable. What a lovely tribute to your lovely Lilith.

I can hardly see to write this, so please excuse spelling errors. My face is a wash with tears. Your sweet little girl has come home to you and she and her pawprint will live forever in your heart! You already have her etched it your heart, but this is even more to stamp further into your hearts. Touch that sweet little pawprint and remember when she put her paw into your hand and once again you will be reminded of all the beautiful memories you shared.

Thank you guys oh so much. You are the best.

Jan what type of urn were you looking for? Lilith is in a standard urn whereas we have Mytsi is a lovely photobox. This is the same one. You can get it from Bombay Company. We are going to get the same for Lilith and simply put her urn right inside. It holds 5 pics all around. We have 4 and a memorandium on top. I will take pics and post them for you to see. I love it. Here is the photobox.

Michelle, that's a beautiful urn! I really don't know what type of urn I'd like for my Willy. His death took me by total surprise..he was a bit punkish for a day or so, and I had an appointment for him to see the vets. I woke to find him dead under my bed at 3 AM. :( It was so unlike him not to do his "kangaroo leap" onto the bed like Kirby. I woke up to see where he was, and he was gone.:( He had had a very tough life on the street..here's a link to his story..:( http://www.chkittyclub.com/pages/cat_family/jan/willy.htm
I know he was so much older than Lilith ( his age was unknown, and he was an almost toothless old boy), but my heart is still so torn open at losing him after such a short time here. A few years is never enough :( Out of thousands of rescues, Willy was so special he's the only cat I got cremated out of my keepers. :( I miss our routine of him licking my hand, and I'd rub it across his cheeks so he could 'feel' what it felt like to wash his own sweet face. :( He never could do that himself. He was my first radial aplasia cat and so grateful I saved him from certain death. :)

What a wonderful urn- I love the colour and that it is so simple.

I am so sorry- but it is good that Lilith is back home.
