We're in the market for a well needed new bed. Can anyone offer suggestions on the best one to buy? I haven't bought a bed in years. This one was a left-over of my Mother's that we've had forever.

in may 2004 i bought a queen sized, pillow-topped king-koil luxura 3. worth every penny, and it was around $475. the only thing i would change is to get a low profile set, the matress is higher, and a bit harder for my old dog to leap up. a low profile set, i think, has a shorter box spring.

not too long ago I bought a king size serta pillowtop and my husband and I agree it is the most comfortable bed we have slept on.

My hubby and I bought a Masterpiece about a year ago, pillowtop with the memory foam. Is that thing comfortable. It was a little more than we wanted to spend ($900) but well worth it.

Thanks everyone! What do you think, foam vs. springs?

Mine has springs with foam and stuff on top of it so they wont ever poke through or anything.
