Here's a tip on outdoor photo composition: use flash. Sounds weird, I know, but trust me, it helps immensly with lighting and shadows. :)

Honestly, I'm not sure what color she is. I always thought she was a long-haired grey tabby (but she doesn't really have any stripes). But as she's matured she's gotten a few light creamy colored patches around her mouth, cheeks and chest. So who knows? :p
