We came in from our morning walk and went staight to work.
Well, I did anyway. He crawled under my cutting table, in the
corner  . I have no idea why. He usually lays right
in the middle of the floor, in the way. But I thought he was
cute. And low and behold, my camera was in reach. Here's
the pics.

I've been kinda worried about his pads. He won't walk on the
grass. He insists on walking in the middle of the sidewalk. I know
it has to be burning his lil' paws. He licks them after we get back.
I would think he'd have callouses by now. What do you think?
I think he just ignores the pain, because he's so excited to go.
We go for the "longer" walks about three times a day.

Aww, Maximus you're so handsome! :D

I don't know about the grass, though. He could be allergic to it...has he had problems with grass before??

He is allergic to grass. You know I haven't thought
about that, since he was a puppy. He had a rash on his belly.
The vet said, he was allergic to grass. As soon as he grew fur
on his belly, he was fine. But, we do our little short walks
several times a day, on the grass in front. I'll give it another
week before we go see the vet.

Thanks guys. He does have boots. I got them for the snow.
Maybe I'll try those. Hope nobody thinks he's a weenie.
And yes, that's Cowboy fabric. I'm going to make a shirt
for my brother in law for all the hard work he did helping
me move.
Donna, MAXIMUS says, come on over. There's room for you
too.

I would hate to think that anyone would think that big hunky stud of a dog is a weenie. I, personally, love a man who cares for his feet. ;)

Ah Maximus you are a stud muffin alright. Such a handsome boy, and a football fan too. Maybe that is why he went under the table, he is either there to support the Cowboys or to crush them beneath he studly body. ;)

He's such a doll. Finn dances on the concrete, but, won't walk in the grass, either. I know it hurts his feet, though, because he shifts his weight constantly if we stand still for very long. Dogs are silly.

If it turns out not to be allergies, look for ants.

My old dog refused to go onto the grass & ended up peeing all over our house. It didn't take me long to find why he was scared of the grass. there were millions of ants! The ants must have been bitting him

I found that hot water & lots of soap keeps them at bay & he sarted to pee outside again.

I noticed this year that the ants are MUCH MUCH worse then I have ever seen. Every yard had ant hill everywhere, & the one in my old backyard (just moved) was about a good 12 feet long
