As I am sitting here browsing Pet Talk and playing with Lucy, I am also thinking about some other silly things about my plans and upcoming events, etc- and for some reason it made me think of my favorite life quotes...quotes that are inspirational and have lots of impact. I thought it would be interesting if everyone shared their favorite life quotes.

My all time favorite life quote is
"Good things come to those who wait"
It has LOTS of meaning to me...

My second favorite quote is some cowboy wisdom
"Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear, or a fool from any direction"

What are yours?!

(If this has been done before, let me know so I can delete the thread :p )

Mine is one I came up with years ago...

"One who is perfect is nothing at all. We strive for perfection, therefore we strive for extinction."

It's not really a life quote, like some of the ones being posted, but, it's my favorite...it's in my signature..."The idea that some lives matter less is the root of all that is wrong with the world." And, I believe that whole heartedly. It truly is what's wrong with the world.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step..

there is no place to seek the mind; it is like the footprints of birds in the sky..

there are two rules on the spiritual path: begin and continue..

our lives are like a candle in the wind..

Reading a book I HAD to read for College... I was bored to death but one quote in it struck me: "Some day we look look back on these pains with pleasure." and its true. No matter what we encounter in life, we look at the past and smile at overcoming it, and smile at knowing we are stronger to have survived it.

I also like "we never regret what we DID, so much as we regret what we DID NOT do."

This used to be posted on the front of my desk at work until we got a new CEO and she made me take it down.

Lack of prior planning on your part does not mean an emergency on my part.

My other favourite saying is Don't sweat the small stuff. After all, it's all small stuff!

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to learn to live in the same box.
