Wow

Today I found a little turtle, about 2 inches long, in my scimmer basket in the pool. I will post a picture in a minute, when I do, can someone tell me what kind of turtle it is?

Here is a picture of it...it is barely moving...it's weak. It's about two inches long from head to end of tail. If someone knows, can you please tell me what kind of turtle it is and if they can carry any diseases?
