my friend was wondering. her parents have a breeding thing for rabbits. they are new to it. they sell them to ppl who want to show them for 4H. my friend was wondering if you can breed a half brother to a half sister rabbit. (same mom, different dad)

This is an entirely acceptable method of breeding in many animals AS LONG as it is done RESPONSIBLY with years of research. Since your friends are asking whether or not it is okay, NO IT IS NOT OKAY. They don't have enough knowledge to comprehend the quirks of linebreeding, and the results could end in tragedy. Better safe and sound!

If, and only if, you know that generations of these rabbits (their parents/ grandparents/ etc) did not have major faults. If related rabbits are bred to one another it tends to magnify the faults within the babies' genes. Therefore, I would highly suggest NOT doing it.
