When I got home from work today Kiara ran to me and jumped on me with her tail down like she was scared. She does this whenever she doesn't feel good or gets really scared/upset over something. :(

Well, she hasn't lifted her tail all day. I'm beginning to think she's constipated or something. She did attempt to go, but all that came out was tiny and runny. I thought maybe it could be her tail like last time but she doesn't seem to have any problems with it specifically.
Sorry for so much info but do any of you know what I could do?
She doesn't seem like she's in pain (I was feeling around and she didn't seem upset by it.) so it's not an emergency to go to the vets right now (they're closed anyhow.) But, if she doesn't go poo or start acting her normal self when I get home tomorrow i'm going to call the vets.

Send some well wishes that everything comes out alright for lil Ki.:p :o ;)

Sounds like maybe a little stomach upset. How does her nose feel? It seems like when casey has an upset tummy her nose is extra cold and her eyes get bloodshot (when I look at the white part)

Sounds like she's constipated. Perhaps she ate something and it's just not coming out. Happens to Fenway alot. If she doesn't poop by tomorrow morning, your idea of bringing her to the vets is a good one. I'll be thinking of her and sending good thoughts her way.

Poop Kiara, poop!

:)

P.S. Can you try taking her for a long long walk? Perhpas with a little exercise, she'll want to poop. Just a thought. Good luck.

Awww poor baby! She very well could be conspitated. Try giving her a little pumpkin. Here is some info on conspitation and pumpkin. Feel better soon Ki!:)

Hmm.. Her stools aren't hard at all, VERY runny... so maybe it isn't constipation? Just an upset tummy?

Maybe so? Dont you wish you were a vet at times like this?;) Keep us posted on her Kay....

I am actually thinking it sounds like diarreah. I would giver her chicken and rice if anything.

The only thing I would worry about is than she ingested something, she is so tennis ball crazy I would just hope she didn't chew one up.

Ugh, I wish she'd just poop and get it over with!!! I just sat outside with her repeating "Go Potty" over and over. She pee'd once then squatted and stared at me quite a few times. (She's learned to fool me by pretending to go pee just so she can go back inside the pool area and swim. )
My dad told me she didn't poop when I was at work either. I don't think she would eat a tennis ball. There isn't any evidence that she did. She's not much of a chewer anyhow.

Well I would watch her tonight, I am sure she will be fine.

Hope Kiki gets feeling better soon! Nebo knows all too well that it's not fun to have an upset tummy! He says to give Ki a kiss for him. :)

Poor Ki, I'm sorry your not feeling well sweetheart.

Kay, Angus used to get constipated quite a bit and he'd have the runs also just like your saying Ki has. I took him for a long walk and gave him just a bit of pepto (to stop the runny poos) and a few hours later he'd have a good poo.
I hope your girl has some luck.

{{{HUGS}}} to the both of you, I know how we all feel when our babies aren't feeling good.

Oh no, not sweet Kiki. I'm so sorry she's not feeling good. You must be worried, Kay. I hope she passes whatever soon, and be feeling back to her normal bouncy, swimmy self. I hate it when our dogs don't feel good and they can't tell us what is wrong.

Get better soon, Kiara!!

Awww.. poor baby sweetheart. Sounds like something yummy went into her tummy and upset it. I know how you feel though, Kay, when they act funny and the poops aren't normal. I go into a panic. I examine everything all the time. I'd give it a day because I remember my vet telling me it takes 24 hours or more for their food to digest. She may have gulped too much chlorine from the pool too. If you've tried chicken and rice or pumpkin and it hasn't helped, I'd definitely call the vet. For the 1st time this week, I gave Klo a piece of cheese and I noticed she had a real hard time the next day, then went 2x, which never happens, so no more cheese for her. You know that I'm praying hard that Kiki's OK.

She's a bit better. My mom said she pooped this morning when she took them out. If she's not acting a bit better in a few hours i'll be calling the vets. She's wanting to play and swim like usual, just not holding her tail up! She looks so sad without her tail up because i'm so used to see it up and wagging.

Her nose feels normal. Thank you all for your concern, I appreciate it! :)

Kay, I'm just headed to work and I remembered something else, it's in my Doctors Book of Home remedies for Dogs and Cats...
1/2 teaspoon of metamucil for small dogs...1 teaspoon for large dogs.
I did give this to Angus before when he was really bound up.

Hope your girls feeling better.

Hey Kay, Tori is having problems with constipation today also and I called our vet and the the tech there said to give her Metamucil and to try the capsule form. I don't know if she went to the bathroom yesterday or not. I was busy and didn't pay too much attention:o . The poor thing is having a hard time today though. I hope Ki is back to her normal self.

Nope, she actually just came in from swimming. She's been acting normal besides not holding her tail up. She just ate so I'm going to bring her out in a little and see if she'll go poo. :O

I'm going to see how she acts tomorrow since I have the day off and I can REALLY see how she acts, how her poops are, etc. My parents don't inspect enough. ;) Thanks for everyone's advice and concern.

Guess who went poo poo!? Kiki did!

She's still holding her tail funny, not as low as she was before, but still low. She doesn't seem too bothered by it - not licking it or whining when I lift her tail.

She also just got done swimming again and learned a new trick. ;)

Kay, I was just thinking.. could it be her anal sacks? I thought it was a male dog thing, but apparently not. I can't wait to see her waggy tail again and the new trick! What a little puppylove!

Now.. Guess who's tail is upright and wagging this morning!?? KIKI's!! :D She went poo and pee on her morning potty, too. :)

She's all better now, thankfully it wasn't anything serious.

I think these dogs are trying to send me to an early grave.

As soon as I finished typing that previous post, Kiara eating her food behind me, starts to scream and yelp. I almost crap my pants and turn around, her paw was stuck on the door to her crate (the door was open) and she was trying to pull herself free. I have no clue how this happened but needless to say, the crate will be gone.

She is fine, no punctures or anything, it just got stuck and she was incredibly scared. I had to calm her down before I could get her paw out.
