A lady from my flyball club knows a lot about dogs and training. I e-mailed her asking for suggestions with Josie and her aggression. She then pointed me on to this other person who specializes in aggressive dogs (and who is a positive trainer!!) she told me about this vet who deals with herbal medications for animals with behaviour problems. I guess you can get drops of stuff toput with their food, and it can help with chemical imbalences or soemthing in the brain...Not too sure how it works yet, but I was thinking about it. I'm going to atleast e-mail him. I'd really love to work out whatever is wrong with her.
I also found out that she might have a dominance problem...like, I can tell her a command, and if she feels like it, she'll do it (unless I'm close ot her on if she's on a leash) I was told because of this, she may be confused as to who is alpha and might be thinking sh needs to protect me. I know that if someone walks past me she usually ignores them..if they get to close to talk to me she freaks out. However she seems down right dog aggressive lol.......
Poor pea...I have been changing how I do stuff with her though...she now gets fed after I eat, instead of before (right whenever I wake up) and some other things too....I want to find an all positive training place...
