The past week or so since Prism's passing, I've been giving my other pets extra special attention. My Red-Tailed Boa, Youkai; in particular - she's SUCH a sweetheart.
I do not need the snake hook or gloves to handle her - every time I reach into the cage to pick her up, her little head lifts up to lick my hand before I lift her out of the cage.
Then when she's out she'll start tickling me. She even crawls up my sleeve and around the back of my neck and starts nudging/tickling back there - it's SO cute. I start giggling and I usually fish her back out.
Last night she was playing Peek-a-boo with me - hiding her head down in my sleeve. Then when she got tired of that game she came out and laid her little head on my knee, and watched TV with us.
Youkai is AMAZING. People wouldn't expect such behavior from a snake, but she's a total doll! I LOVE that snake. Personality plus
