Julie and her husband Warren was in Copenhagen friday. :)

Susanne and I met them by the ship at Langelinie.

They had managed to get us on the guest list. Here they’re looking for our names.

So we took a tour of the ship first, it’s huge!

Before touring Copenhagen, we had a cup of coffee and enjoyed the view.

While we were on the ship, the alarms went off. They had a fire drill - no panic! :D

Then we walked along the harbour front, up to see the little Mermaid and Amalienborg where the Queen lives. Didn’t get a picture of that, but Julie did. ;)

Here she is with Warren in front of the Gefion fountain.

It was time for a bit of lunch at Cafe Petersborg. I’d thought they’d like the food there, since Hilary Clinton did. We could not persuade them to try marinated herrings, but I do understand that!!

After a good lunch, we went to Rosenborg Castle.

We saw old furniture ...

I think Fister would fit on this chair. ;)

Julie on the staircase going up to see more.

We also went down in the cellar to see the Crown jewels. I think Julie got pictures of some of those.

In the end, we decided to go and visit the Harley Davidson shop. We took buses around, and also the Metro.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v205/Fister/Copenhagen%20sightseeing/J--W-in-Metro-St.jpg

We wanted to go many more places, but time was limited. :( Julie and Warren had to be back on the ship by 17.00. However, we had a very nice day together! :D

Julie and Warren, we really enjoyed meeting you. Hope you had a nice journey to Dover - and hope you'll be posting soon! :)

Loved seeing all of these pictures!! Randi how sweet of you to meet them and give them a tour of that beautiful, beautiful city!!

Isn't this an amazing thing? - PT friends can have their own private tour guide and get to meet people we only know by posting here about our animals. I love it:)

Julie and Warren - so nice to "meet" you in pictures - hope you are having the most wonderful time.:D

Sorry about that Karen, Barbara and QSL. I realised I had posted on General, so I deleted it. :o Glad you posted again, Karen :)

You finally got to see our fairly new member, Sus. :)

Btw, here's a link to Copenhagen restaurants. Perhaps I can entice more to come. :D www.aok.dk

Click on "Efter køkkentype" and them on "Dansk traditionelt" and you'll find Cafe Petersborg, where we went. There are a few pictures on the various links.

It's been a couple of years since I last went to see the cruise ships at the "Langelinie" quay - and in the meantime they have grown almost ridiculously big!!! I was awe-struck! I spent more time gaping at the view from the top deck than I did noticing the marvellous surroundings on board: We were actually higher up in the air than most of Copenhagen....!

It really was a treat to be able to come on board - thank you Julie and Warren! :)

Lots of love,
Sus and the Bellacat

Yep, and please do notice the good company, we're in! On the wall behind us are pictures of danish royalty: The late king Frederik lX and queen Ingrid, the parents of our present queen Margrethe II! :p I felt compelled to be at my best behaviour...!! :D :D

Isn't this exciting? We are bringing the Pet Talk family closer and closer together...............

That darn Karen and Paul - just look what they have done for our lives!!!

Randi-as always - excellent pictures - each one just breathtaking!

I am right up there with you and Slick - gotta run and buy lottery tickets. Tonight's MegaBucks is up to $172,000,000. Yes, all of those zeros are correct! Now that oughta buy a few round trip tickets for EVERYONE to get together.

I am so happy that you got together........and how nice of you both to show them Copenhagen.

Sus??? Best behavior??? You put me to shame:D :D
