no, but I've sung many other songs to Ritz...and about Ritz...and inserted cat lore for original lyrics.....

and then there's the classic

"She had a smile so sweet and a great deal more than that. And she cooed and she purred when I smiled at her with milky skin like silky fur, my puss puss puss puss PUSSYCAT!

I sing to all of the animals, can't think of anything off hand but I know I am guilty.

ROFL, tuxluvr ... I do that too! My girls' favorite is Hello Dolly!

i.e.,

Hello, Thelma. Well, Hello, Thelma. She's so sweet, she's so petite ... my Thelma girl. :D :D

How ab out

"Oh, Ritzy you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind
Hey Ritzy! Hey Ritzy" (of course it doesn't help that I'm holding her pretending to dance with her at the same time) :)

It's got a beat and you can dance to it ... :D

I wish Louie would let us sing. My husband and I both work in music related industry and Louie can't stand music of any kind!!! He barks even louder if we sing to him or play any instrument...Thank Goodness the Kitties are "Rocker Kitties"!...Maybe Louie is just trying to join in?..... We sing to Louie anyway... Usually "Louie the Dog" sung to the tune of Winnie-the-Pooh.;)

Ah so obvious you've never heard me sing - as everyone tells me I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket!:D Totally tone deaf

And guess what - even the furkids are critics - whenever I sing (only when I'm alone) I get varying degrees of cats leaving the room I'm in - cats needing to Urgently go Out - Ketchum goes under our bed. So Nope I Don't Sing to the Furkids much:( :(

Too Funny, Lynne! Cats can be cruel critics ... :(

"I love Vienna, Vienna loves me. Theres no Vienna as pretty as she."
My mother used to sing this to me(with my name inserted) I Don't know what the original name of the tune was.
I insert Vienna's name. She was my 1st cat and is very special. I believe she deserves this tribute.

Like Lynne, I had to stop singing because cats were taking off from the room  so much for thinking that I know how to sign :D Or maybe they just don't appreciate my songs? ;) ;) ;)

Jumper demands my total attention at least once a day, to be cuddled like a baby. One day while doing this, I decided to hum a tune to him. What a surprise, he jumped out of my arms and ran away:rolleyes: I knew that I am not much of a hummer or singer, but I honestly did not think it was that bad:D ! I'm thinking that he had never heard me hum a song before and didn't know what to think of it.

"She's a small town puss on a Saturday night"

"She's a pussycat, pussycat, on my floor...and she's purring like she's never purred before!"

ROFL, tuxluver ... you truly are the Jester! ;)

And ... to all you insecure singers out there, I say GO FOR IT! Make that joyful noise unto the world.

It's not our our kitty-cats always sound pleasant, either!

Ritz is used to me singing - it was how I calmed her down on her very first ride home....when I play the piano, she will often come in and listen/watch, then fall asleep.

Musicat!

I sing (if you can call it that!) short little rhymes/lullabyes that I've made up, one for each cat . . . I guess they must be tone-deaf because they tolerate my tunes . . . lol, lol :D

LOL ... I so relate ... Weezie HATES to have her nails trimmed. When I sing to her during the procedure, she calms down quite a bit! (I also turn the radio up REALLY LOUD on the way to the vet!)

Thanks for your nice compliments, Sara and Tuxluvr!

My Huskies are getting on in years; about 13 (Sadie the cinnamon) and 14 (Shasta the black/white) and both girls are mad at me because I never get around to viewing or posting much at all about them on the dog board!:o They are kinda "in the doghouse" these days . . . and I'm not too happy about Shasta's Alpha attitude . . . seems she has taken to attacking Sadie and although Sadie gives her a good fight she always seems to sustain a cut that needs sutures and the vet bills plus the consultation with an animal behavioralist (also a vet) are racking up . . . I seriously considered rehoming Shasta but it is probably impossible to find someone willing to adopt such an old Siberian, at least that is what the Siberian Husky rescue group conveyed to me upon my inquiry. So many younger ones they have yet to place . . . well, this is getting into another topic. Anyway, Sadie says if you want a Husky . . . take my sister ~ please!

My cowgirl Debra is only about a year old, and the photo makes her look ENORMOUS . . . I couldn't believe it when I had the film developed . . . must be the angle or something, but I'm no photographer so it wasn't intentional. She has the sweetest personality . . . I only wish Lily would be at least civil to her . . . they stay out of each other's way most of the time, but if their paths do happen to cross Lily hisses then chases poor Debra . . . at least this gives my old gal Lily some much-needed exercise . . . ;)

yes, but there's that nasty habit of ripping all the fur off the mouse at the end of the session!

Besides, she keeps tripping over the furniture (first pose cracks me up...just hangin there) and sprawls on the floor.....second pic reminds me of an old show called "Solid Gold Dancers" who spent most of their "dance" writhing around suggestively on the stage floor :D
