This is such a devastating and heartbreaking situation along our Gulf Coast. As far removed as I am from the disaster, I'm still overwhelmed with feelings of total helplessness knowing there's really nothing I can do at the moment to ease the pain. We can't begin to imagine what those poor people are thinking, feeling, and going through. All of us at PT know how important it is to have your pet with you at a time like this, a purr from a kitty or a shlurp from a dog does so much for the human spirit in difficult times. I would like to ask all of you to join me in praying not only for the human victims and all the rescuers working so hard to help, but also for those working to rescue those beloved pets so they can be reunited with their furever families. Here's hoping all the animals are safely with Noah on the ark not too far away.
