View Full Version : My family has gone crazy! NEW ADDITION! Must read.

Yes I did just adopt Morty 2 months ago, & yes my family is crazy, but I'm glad they are! Here's the story...
I went to Tennessee with a close friend for his Grandpa's 80th birthday. On Sunday we went to Pa’s house to say goodbye and there was this adorable dog standing in his yard. Pa called him Brownie and he has been feeding him for two years. Brownie, which we are calling Jimmy (but that might change), has been abused. He's a stray, but Pa's neighbors have been hurting him pretty badly. Jimmy has a cut and a partial scar from getting shot in the back with a bow and arrow, he has a broken rib that's healed, but sticks out (probably from getting kicked, and his ear has a chunk missing from it. Plus he was chasing cars on a 55 mph hour street. It was a matter of time before the inbred a**hole neighbors killed him or he was hit by a car, so I took him. I went to Wal-Mart and bought a leash, collar, and a carrier for the 8-9 hour drive back to Chicago. I took him without asking my family, but with the intentions of finding him a home or taking him to a shelter. My theory was that anything would be better than his life now. So I got him home yesterday and everyone loves him, my mom, dad, brother, & dogs LOVE him. He's perfect. So he's staying :D. He more behaved than Syl, Harley, & Morty anyway! He already had his shots and heartworm test today and we are going to neuter and microchip him as soon as we have the money. He should be neutered within a month or two :).

CONGRATULATIONS!! What a happy ending and how wonderful of your crazy family! He looks like such a sweet little dog with horrible past.

What a sweetheart he is. Thank you and your crazy family :p for rescuing him and giving him a furever home. :) He looks right at home with his new furfamily. :D

You and your family are WONDERFUL. He is precious and he looks like he fits in quite well. What a great family you have, both fur family and skin family to welcome this little guy right in. :) Sylvia and Morty have got to be two of the cutest dogs I have ever seen. And it looks like Harley and Jimmy are going to be the best of friends. Thanks for saving him and sharing him with us.

Very cool! I am so happy to hear that he has a family now...fur and skin people alike!! You sure have made him one happy doggie...i am so happy for him, and for you, he seems like such a sweet fella!!

Congratulations! He is so cute. I'm glad you have a "crazy" family!
I love the name Jimmy, but I'm partial as that is my cats name.
I thought the same as Kay when I saw the picture of them behind the gate, you have your new signature.

Joyce said everything I was going to say! LOL! I also agree with Kay. You do already have a new signature!! ;) I will look forward to more pictures! :)

I'm glad you named this thread what you did, as otherwise I might have missed it. I just don't have time to check out too many threads and this one gave my spirits the boost they needed.

Jimmy certainly appears like he was *made special* just for your family. How cute the four of them are together. Jimmy has to be in doggie heaven to have love and care and freedom from the hunger and fear that was his previous life. God bless you for taking him into your heart and your home and God bless Pa for his part in providing what he could for this little guy.

What a great rescue story!! This is the kind of story I hope to hear about every day!! The world does need more people like you and your family. Jimmy will fit right in with his new family. He's so cute and finally he gets to learn and experience happiness. What a gorgeous little group you have there. Four fabulous pups!!:D
