I was just wandering around the yard this afternoon snapping pics of the dogs. They were being a little silly. It rained all day yesterday so they have some extra energy today!

Chase yelling at me. I have no idea what he wanted. He probably doesn't know. I adore Chase, but he's not the sharpest tool in the shed!;)

Founder watching the silliness.

Franklin lounging in the weeds.

Bandit guarding something. I think he has a bone buried underneath his spot. He's quite protective of his space today.

Muskwa hanging out in a dog house. I built that one myself so I'm always a little thrilled when they actually use it!

They seem to only have one shed a year. Starts in April lasts until October! The ones who are shedding the most now are the ones who don't like to be brushed. Bandit would take my hand off before he'd let me brush him. Goldie just has more fur than any dog should have! She lets me brush her in short sessions. It's starting to freeze now at night so the ones who had some of last winter's coat left are shedding like crazy now--just in time to get a new coat!

OMG what a silly baby. It would take all my strength not to bend down and scoop that baby up in my arms for some cuddles. It would probably break my break trying but it would be soooo well worth it. How can one cutie pie puppy be soooo cute?

Well Glacier, it looks like the pups are all happy and gearing up for the upcoming winter season. Too bad Heyoka won't be joining you guys this year because he's coming to Florida to live with us.;) Could he be cuter? Actually, they're all as cute as can be. Your doggies are always beautiful. When will the cold weather start up there? Thanks for sharing more great pics!

I loved them all. I loved Chase yelling at you, I loved Muskwa in the dog house, I loved Bandit guarding his stash, and I love that precious Heyoka. What a great group of dogs you have. :)

Heyoka won't be joining us as he is the world's laziest working dog. He runs and hides when he sees his harness! He wouldn't like Florida though. He loves super cold weather. At -40C he'll be outside sunning his belly! Even the huskies thinks he's nuts when he does that!

Depends on your defination of cold! I had to scrap some frost off my windshield this morning, but it will probably go up to about 20C today. The trees are turning yellow already. We usually get our first snow in about three weeks and the first snow that stays around in mid-October.

FROST?????? Yikes!!! Okay, we've decided to change our plan, since Heyoka loves cold weather and we're sick of the hot weather here...........we'll just re-locate up there.;) Then everybody will be happy. My definition of cold is probably anything below 50F.:)

Look at the handsome Muskwa in the dog house. He's a great looking dog, so noble. On a side note....do you give all those dogs baths yourself or take them somewhere or let them go swimming? How do you bathe them?

For the most part, I don't! Huskies are fairly self-cleaning dogs! They don't need alot of bathing. Sleet gets bathed a couple times a year as it helps keep her allergies in check. Some of them swim. We have a lake and river within a half hour walk of the house. When they do need baths, like they have something stinky and sticky in their fur, I take them to the Humane Society. They have a grooming room there you can rent by the hour.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I was thinking there was no way you bathed all of those dogs. LOL. :D

Even if I had time to bath them all, I don't have enough water! We don't have a well and there is no water supply system where we live. We have a holding tank and pump underneath the house so we can have running water. We are pretty careful with water use!

I always love seeing your dog family. That one of Chase "yelling" is so cute. Can you imagine if you did have to bathe them all? That's all you'd be doing! I never even thought of that before.
