Is this at your house? Lots of things for cats to climb on in there.

Yes, off the side of the house we were never using except to collect junk. It's worked out wonderfully.

Boy, I can't let Tubby see this - he'll be positively green with jealousy! ;) Any hints on how to convince a townhouse association to allow one of these?;)

Peanut just jumped up and said "Meowmmmm....I want one of those!"

This is really nice, and a great way to put an otherwise "dead" area to a much better use.

Wow! Thats awesome! Did you guys build that yourselves or hire someone to do that? It looks so nice!! Are there any other pictures of the run?

We had a fencing company put the chainlink panels together. Then my husband put it all together. We're still in the process of adding things. I will get some more pictures and post real soon.

Your cat run is TOO cool.. I think my Mocha Bean is drawing up plans of her own right now. :o She would love a cat run, but we rent and do don't own our home. Look forward to seeing more.

WOW, that's really cool, that's what we think about doing when we get our own house one day...

I'm sure my babies would go crazy for that.

They love it! Now that the weather is wonderful, we hardly see them inside. We have doggy doors going from the house, to the garage, to the cat run. The garage belongs to the cats. We have a couch, rug, trees, beds, food, water, and litter boxes out there. They've got quite the life!

What lucky kitties, the BEAUTIFUL creme kitty in the picture looks very happy. What a great idea to spoil your kitties with the outside but they are safe at the same time  :) .

They are lucky kitties!!! You're inspiring me to figure out some architecturally pleasant place for my boy and girl to run, without exposing them to the "wild" world. Right now, they're free to go as they please, but I would be much more comfortable with them in an enclosed place. I'm thinking "screened" porch. What do you think?? I would like the spot to be multipurpose.

Fantastic!!! Comfort, adventure, fresh air and SAFETY!!:) What lucky kitties!!! An elderly neighbor of mine built something similar for his kitties, attached to his house, complete with "tree!" They even had a little trap door from the main house out into the "wild." You are VERY special furparents!!!! Great job!

WOW - K&L, haven't you got the luckiest furrbabies ever!! That is one wonderful cat run.

Logan - I'd go with a screened porch - a friend of mine did that for her two cats and they were so happy - and safe. Good Luck.

Logan, my boys have a big screened porched, complete with climbing vines and surrounded by shrubs and trees. They love to watch the birds at the feeder and flittering in the shrubs from their encampent! On summer evenings, they camp out, listening to the crickets, peepers and all those "night sounds!" Go with the porch!!

Wow! What a wonderful Cat run!! It's definitely a cat paradise!

When I was living in Indiana, my parents had a screened in porch, and when I first got Marius...that is where he stayed. He really liked it, and it's nice to be able to experience the fresh air...in the safety of the enclosed porch:)

Gosh, can I come live with you? :D I would love to bask in the sun whenever I wanted and then come inside to my own paradise...

I bet it makes your furkids so happy!!

What a great idea. I sure wish I could contain Rascal. He was an outdoor kitty for the first year and a half of his life, so he demands to go outside. Just tonight I had trouble getting him to come home. But then I found him, sitting on the front porch with a look like: "where have you been? It is getting dark out here!"

It would be so much better to let him have some of the outdoors without the danger of other cats, fights and streets with cars.

The porch would be great, and I actually think they would do fine if it were big enough. Guess I'd better give up the computer, make more money so i can afford to do it one day!!! I won't risk my money on the new SC lottery!!! LOL!!! :D

One day, maybe.....either a different house or enough $$ to do it the way I want to. Mimi, especially, would be very, very happy, and our Butter would be much safer.
