We are going on a little Holiday ....

... leaving tomorrow, and coming back on Sunday.

We are going to
The River Cottage (http://www.merindah.com.au/photo_river.htm)

Which is part of Merindah Cottages (http://www.merindah.com.au/)

Looking forward to it - they are so doggie friendly, and the people who own the unit have sent through a detailed map, places of interest along the way, things to do, what to see .......... and most importantly a list of places where they will accept doggies whilst you have lunch or a quick drink or two :D

Plan on taking LOTS and LOTS of pics.

We had our own jetty - pity we didn't have a boat!!!

Here is Captain on the jetty - but NOT SITTING NEAR HIS MUM ...... just in case she shoved him in the water ... (which I wouldn't do ...)

I did not let Ruby come up near the jetty - because she would have jumped in ..... and then I would have had to go in too!!!

We went over to Raymond Island - and you can only get there by ferry - 300 metres from the mainland to the island!!!!! :D :D :D
So it takes about 2 minutes on the slow ferry ..... I could swim it faster ............

..... yes, a Koala!!! There is a huge colony on the island apparently. I, of course only found ONE Koala. The 2nd pic was kindly sent to me by a gentleman I work with who lives on the island!!!!!

Beautiful pictures, Michele! Cap and Ruby are such beautiful Dalmatians! I'll bet they made lots of new friends! I definitely have to go back to Australia! It was the best trip I ever had! I have a photo of me holding a Koala. I remember volunteering to be the first from our group! I was lucky because it pooped on the 2nd person to hold it! :D :D We were headed to a private island by sailboat and as I was getting out of the dingy, the current was so swift, I fell into the ocean and so did my camera! So I have no pictures at all. Not one person sent me any. I was too shocked and sad and upset to think straight. I should have bought an instamatic, but didn't. :( :mad: So it's a good excuse to head back!
