I woke up at about 6:45 this morning and when I looked outside it was snowing. The winter so far has been very mild. We’ve had temperatures into the 20’s (*C). I rang up the school to see whether we still had to go and they said that the school had been snowed in J. About an hour later when I was watching the news and they said that there was snow down to sea level. This hasn’t happened since 1986.

The two pics below were taken at about 7am this morning from just outside our front door

I'm sure you don't see much of that. :) How long did it last? Did you let Foxy go out and check it out?

Cute! Do you have pics of Foxy in the snow?

In MN, we get about 3-4 ft of snow EVERY winter! I bet you were excited to see snow though!

sorry i didn't get any pics of Foxy. i wasn't really that excited to see snow because i grew up in Europe and we use to get ove a meter of sbow every winter but i was excited that there was snow down to sea level because most people that i know have only seen that once down here.

I know it has to be a big thing for you guys but it takes snow like this is close a school in Newfoundland, Canada. What a difference huh?

the two pics are were taken just as it started, and not only that the school is a lot higher then what we are an i think it would have snowed there all night. not only that there is only one highway that goes to it and it was closed.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr........hope you are having fun in the snow. We've just been informed that the temperature tomorrow is going to be the hottest EVER recorded in the UK - how do they know that? Expect it will be raining

You're so lucky. I know you don't think you are. It's just so darned hot and humid here ALL the time. It barely even gets cold when it's time for winter in other places. I think the snow is just beautiful.

It would absolutely blow my mind to have winter/see snow in May through September. Those months are synonymous with summer, picnics, bbqs, fireworks, humidity, vacations and beaches for me.

Wow, it seems so weird that while us Americans and Northern hemisphere people are having summer, many places in the southern hemisphere are having winter!:D Those are really amazing, neat pictures!:)
