*PT Gift Swap 2 of 2005 - Questionnaire & Rules*

Please read the following if you are interested in the Pet Talk Gift Swap.

Do NOT sign up unless you FULLY plan to send the items, no matter what person you recieve.
Also, please be aware of the costs included in buying the gifts and also mailing them, possibly to another country. The minimum cost for gifts is $20. There is no maximum amount.
The swap is intended for the pets and small gifts for the humans are well-appreciated. You do not have to buy an idividual gift for each pet. Certain pets can share gifts (Dogs with dogs, cats with cats...etc..) but please try and get atleast 1 gift for each type of pet listed in their questionnaire.



You may join the Gift Swap if you have been an ACTIVE MEMBER for atleast a 5 months. If you have been late or irresponsible with previous swaps, you may not participate. If you think this may include you, please PM either myself or wolf_Q. If you fail to send a package then you will not be allowed to participate in any further swaps held by Amy & I.

We also ask that you agree to insure or atleast send your gift by something other than regular mail service. Something with the option to track the package is desired. This way nothing gets lost while being sent to your reciever. If you choose not to do so, you must take full responsibility to send your reciever another package if in the case it gets lost.

The deadline to send your package is Saturday - November 12th, 2005... The second Saturday in November!
The deadline is for everyone.
You MUST send your package in time of the deadline.
Please do not sign up if you cannot afford, want take the time, have no motivation to send, or do not agree with our rules and requirements.

NO more questionnaires will be accepted after this date. This will be posted in all of the general forums so there will be no excuse for you to miss it. If you do, we're sorry. We will more than likely have more swaps in the future, and you can participate then.

Allow us time after this date to swap names out. Your reciever's information will be sent out via-PM shortly after the questionnaire deadline. Make sure your PM Inboxes are cleared so there will be no problem sending the information.

It is only fair to Amy and I becaused we've been put into rough situations when new members decided to join and end up not sticking around when it comes time to send their packages. We have aorund 2 or so of these a year so those of you that miss them you'll be able to participate in the next. We don't deserve the turmoil we've recieved because OTHER people decided to be irresponsible, so we're trying out best to avoid it.
So, it's nothing personal, we're just trying to organize this the best we can and last time we had absolutely no difficulties since we added the new rule.
Hopefully everyone's capable of accepting that.


Barbra & Carmen, you two are close enough to 5 months to participate. Anyone that's only a week or so away from being 5 months feel free to send in a questionnaire.

It depends on the wieght.... and the place you are sending it to.
I sent my mom a cheap paperback (from Florida to Italy) and it cost me 8 bucks for postage. :eek:

It is part of the questionnaire. You get asked whether you would mind sending overseas.

I didn't say you did. I was just trying to answer your question as best I can and telling you what I would do.
Even if you didn't recieve someone out of the country, what if your package was to get lost in the mail and you had to buy and send a new one? Just one of the things that *may and could* happen that need to be thought about, by everyone.

I have no clue how the "Secret Santa" was organized, but this is just a Gift Swap, the name of the sender is usually included. :) In fact, I like to send a note or two from myself and the dogs. ;)
The names are random, I think there's only one occasion where the participants have eachother.

Don't send the package anonymously but it's preferred you don't tell your person you have them until they find out when they get the package. You are not sending to the same person you receive from.

We have told her that the person that is supposed to send to her is not supposed to until Paula's package is recieved.
