I would like to share with you all a photo and story of my little hamster New York, I think it is nice sometimes to remember the beloved pets that we all have lots. Lets keep their memory alive in this thread.

I had New York when I was 15yrs old, nearly 12 yrs ago now, but I have never forgot him because he had a lovely little character. The most important thing about him was he never bite me. This photo was also on the cover of a magazine, the vegetarian society. New York died when he was about two yrs old of a horrible disease called wet tail.

If anyone would like to share any memories of their pets who have passed on would love to hear all about them.

Here's a pic of my rainbow dog Nappe. He had to be put in sleep in 1996 due to an illness. He was my first own pet, and that's why very special to me. I didn't get to keep him for long (5years) but we sure had lots of fun.

I sure never will forget him and will always love him! May he rest in peace.

Niina, Nappe sure was a handsome fellow!

I have sooo many memories of my Tom kitty that I don't know which to share!

One winter day he got ontop of the neighbor's & got so close to their chimney that it singed his whiskers on one side. I remember how icky & scratchy (and STANKY!) they were...

I don't think I've ever had a pet that has died. I got my first REAL pet when I was in 4 th grade, my dog Fridae. And she is still with us, she will be 6 years old this spring. My goldfish is only 4 years old, and my rabbits are only a year old. WAIT A MINUTE! I THAT BACK! I DID HAVE A PET THAT DIED. My other goldfish, Oscar. He died and Bubbles obviously ate him because he was a skeleton when I found him. ewwwwwwwwwww yuck!

My cat Pishi left for the Rainbow Bridge at age 18. She was sick and lost her lust for life and we decided it was time for her to go and play on the green medows.

She was a very special cat with a great personality. She only had one desire: being with me. I've got many happy memories, so many that I wouldn't know where to start. My sweet Pishi, I still miss her a lot.

(She had a naked tummy - she pulled out her hair the last few months of her life after she got dementia)
